I'd rather have a south Florida kid on my team any day of the week, especially on defense. The area is a crucible at forming NFL players. Every state can claim a few good NFL players and I know Texas has some, but Florida has been king as long as I can remember. Whatever a Florida kid is rated by the services, bump him by 20-30 spots. Whatever a kid from California and Texas is rated, drop him down a bit. They have talent there, but the people grading it suck at their job.
But he did see something in Kyle Trask that most others didn't. For that I feel we owe him a modest debt of gratitude...offset in great part by all of the "worst things ever" you are thinking of
I think that’s the kid @bobbybaker86 is always talking about , hope we’re not sleeping on a diamond in the rough here. Lamar Jackson situation comes to mind.
Yes. But the glaring amount of yards this defense has given up in those games is the real culprit. If we don't have a high powered offense (still no running game) then we're at .500. I just don't remember in the last 50 years a defense being so bad. Or am I wrong?
If I was a douche I would give u a dislike on this one candy. That stinks. I need some food on my plate today, in desperate need to have some sunshine pumped
Here's the deal, we are not likely to sniff a championship of any kind with our recruiting period. The teams that are consistently in the playoffs year after year have a top 5 class. I like DM however it seems he prefers keeping his buddy's around who are underperforming as coaches and who lack top recruiting skills. So far, it seems as if DM is ok with keeping the status quo. And by taking LSU lightly, it will no doubt affect recruiting as Candy has mentioned. We can recruit good skill players but if we can't recruit LOS players, we are not competing for championships. I think it will take a 7-5 season for DM to wake up and make coaching changes. What he has shown me in these few years here is that he is an excellent O minded coach and qb developer, but is lacking in some of the important areas of coaching. If Saban is A+ I would say DM is a B+. He will consistently have a winning season but without changes, we will rarely beat uga who is killing it recruiting wise. Beating uga and going to the SEC Championship game this year should be a big high for me, but I see way too many holes in this program to be elated.
Mullen still needs to improve his recruiting but I feel like it's coming along. We're winning some big recruiting battles, just not as many as we'd like. UGA is a paper tiger though. Kirby is just not a good gameday coach and I bet Mullen ends up with a winning record against him. If you want to complain that we're not on Bama's level, then have at it. No one else is either.
