To some degree, but a lot of time the cushion was all the way down the field in man. I think that Grantham didn't trust his secondary with good reason.

You can check out Top Billin' on youtube for that game and see a clip of Wilson on Cager, and Cager is stutter stepping instead of making a good cut into his break, but Wilson still ends up 3 yards off of him for an easy catch. Very embarrassing.

Looks like he did. He played in 11 games as a freshman. I personally don't watch many fsu games that are not against UF, and, I sure don't have memories of any of their games against others almost two decades ago. Two out of four wins is not exactly owning us, though.

my point is that Fromm plays pedestrian against other competition but turns it up against us, so did Rix, according to the gator slayers.

I will agree with you that Fromm tends to peak against us. Can't bear to read Warchant, though, the slant is untenable.

Have relatives that are FSU fans. Their hero was always Chris Rix against UF. He was benched several times, fans hated him UNLESS playing at against uf

I agree all around except: the key to the game is the QB. If Fromm goes pro it’s a relevant swing our way.

And They are winning that super bowl comfortably too. Let's not take pride in game against us being treated by our rivals like Super Bowl to elevate our team to different level. More than them , we should treat that game as our super bowl.

I won't even say that because whoever is the QB will have enough of a test by the time they play us. They play Bama, Viriginia, and Auburn before we play them.

Plus that means there will be a lot of good tape on how to handle UGAs offense leading up to our game. Grantham just needs to watch it and plan accordingly.

Not to be that guy but what does this thread have to do with recruiting? This whole thread is the epitome of the Swamp Gas board

Doesn't mean he'll get better throughout the year. Eason played fairly "even" throughout his freshman year (just an example).

I think if their QB ends up being an average first year starter - then we're in great position to win.

But I understand the point you're making. Their roster is stronger (top to bottom), for sure...Just hoping NOT their QB.

Agreed. I do think he comes back though. They'd have to either hit the portal or roll with

    Mathis
    Bennett
    Beck
    Priestley

    None of those scare me.

Yea nothing Fromm does would surprise me. He's like Trask...staying another year isn't going to make them bigger, stronger, or faster. It's stictly to win a title. Fromm has peaked physically and I think he's gotten as good as he'll get. Yea his skilled position players may make the leap next year making him look better than what he really is but as far as him as a prospect, he is what he is. Burrow may be looked at someone who went from looking servicable to elite, but their whole philosophy changed this past offseason and his skilled players (Chase and Jefferson) took a HUGE leap forward.

ESPN has him as 4th rated QB, for what it's worth. I think he's gone...

Fromm beat UF with his head. He seemed to be able to anticipate what Grantham was trying to take away by the time the ball was snapped - especially on 3rd down. He may have struggled against teams able to jam or play his young receivers tight but he was accurate vs. UF’s D. I’m glad we
    don’t face him again.

Especially third downs. Maybe he should let one of his position coaches call those plays.
