I waited until I could get some confirmation but Jackson is no longer considered a commit. Some other places reported it and it is also confirmed on the insider board.

So as of now the UF class on OL for 21 should be as follows. I do expect one more OL in this class.
    Jake Slaughter
    Javonte Gardner
    Adrein Strickland
    Deyavie Hammond

So has he been pushed out because he said it himself, he hasn't decommitted and his twitter bio says committed? Weird situation but one im not going to lose sleep about.

Oh ok, good. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up. I hope the staff is cautious with that spot on the OL if they choose to replace him.

How exactly do these “pushed out “ situations work?

A staff either stops communicating with the kid or explains to him that he's going to be stuck way down the depth chart for the duration because of (insert rationalization here). Might offer to point a coach they know at a smaller school their way.

Suckish aspect of the process, but inevitable from time to time.

Probably why we took Strickland and Slaughter. He was one of our earliest commitments. Looks like Diego Pounds is still on our radar.

Was Jackson that bad? He has great size and I cant imagine he has looked worse than what we've seen of slaughter.

Hopefully means they've got someone at OT that's a little more ready to play that they feel good about.

Someone from this group is probably going to have to be legit depth at OT in 2021, and so far they don't have him.
