It's not River who needs to make any explanation. It's an atrocious crime, there is no debate over that. Everyone commenting about the atrocity on this thread is in agreement on that. But @gatormonk sure owes the board a return appearance. It's more a question of why did he start the thread? What was his intention in wording the title the way he did? Making a single post with no comment, then running from the scene with no explanation. There's a word for that.

 

I didn't say he shouldn't have said it, now did I? I was asked the OP's point was, and I wrote what it looked like to me.

The link does not contain the word Gay. But in my opinion it's more that it was posted without comment and a failure to return and add more to the discussion. Hit and Run. Some would call that trolling and I can't in truth say I disagree.

This is also the first sentence of the article.

The sexual orientation of the perpetrators is a key element in the article and it should be obvious.

 

I think what he was saying is if you click on the link the Headlines of the story read almost word for word with the thread title.

I'm wondering why the Post reported on this crime so recently as the men were arrested in August July of 2022.

 

Did some googling to find out why the length of time between the arrest and the report in The NY Post and found this 4 paragraph article about their arrest in July in the Atlanta Journal Constitution:
