Outstanding win and great way to open SEC play. The crowd was electric and our players showed a focus and resolve I had not seen thus far in this young season. Coach Shelton's program needed this win as they continue to forge ahead nationally and in the toughest conference in America, the SEC.

You made the call that getting home and outdoors might make a difference.
Could be the turning of the corner....at minimum a great conference start.

There was a lot of team building that went into the last two weeks practices. Alfredo stepping up and beating Montgomery at number one singles was key, as was taking the doubles point. Freshmen are still growing up into the world of collegiate tennis. There will be bumps in the road but this program is on the right path.

Coach....little surprising the inconsistency from Alfredo. This weekend being a prime example. Do you think it's mental? Trying to do to much and feeling the need to carry the team as the #1 And a senior? Kind of hoping he just loosens up and let's it rip. But i know he is facing quality competition every match, easier said than done

A pretty big step backward vs Miss St.....seems like they have been a thorn for the last 20 years. Solid clutch doubles point....but that was the end of the positives. Lost 5 first sets in singles.....rebounded a bit in second sets before getting thrashed.
Perez was handled in straight sets, Ingildsen lost 2 close sets.
Crawford the lone singles winner, he blew a nice lead and lost yet another tiebreaker in his second set, before playing well in the super tiebreak third set. Have to wonder if the opponent lost a little focus with the match on ice.
I really felt UF's depth would make them dominant at 5 and 6. Hasn't worked out the way. Kessler hasn't had his game, and Blanco hasn't been much better. Both guys have had experience and success playing higher on the ladder, so these losses at #6 are really surprising to me.

Not the end of the world. But disappointing, and a trend of inconsistency that must be reversed if this season is to live up to potential

Gators looked good vs the Vols. Both teams were pumped to play each other. Wonder if the road trip to miss state had the team thinking it could win without as much effort?

Team looks like they have great rapport. Look to be in great shape too. Got to be the mental side and focus to preparation for all opponents. Can’t take a match off. Bring A+ game every set.
