I 100% agree.
So OM is getting Parrish and Evans?
In 2006, there was a kid we recruited who had many fans saying the same stuff. He was immature, head-case, poor decisions, he's more trouble than he' worth, etc...
His rap sheet:
1. 1-game suspension his junior year for unsportsmanlike conduct
2. Had to sit out the final two games of his senior year for making contact with a ref
3. Got into a fight during a basketball game and the ref had to end the game early
**Suspended from all athletic activities after the basketball fight
Signed with UF and had an amazing career. His name is constantly mentioned on this board as the gold standard for athletic WRs/RBs. Do those keyboard jockeys turn cheek to high school antics once the kid signs, keeps his nose clean and delivers on the field?
You don't know Evans well enough to make the statement "we can do without him" any more than I can make the statement "we must get him".
I love what Mullen is building and feel it revolves around working hard, accountability, and do it the right way. A lot of people thrive in that type of environment...maybe Evans would too.
For every Percy Harvin there's Taureen Charles....
What about Lobsta Willie?!?!?
Evans to SMU? Stays in TX
Interesting. I used to see Eric Dickerson and Craig James running wild on SMU uniforms.
Let's keep the politics out of this thread please.
saw this as well:
“Really, I’m looking for how my parents would come to the games and stuff like that, and how we could get used to going that distance — if we’re going to fly or if they’re going to take that nine-hour drive (the distance from Florence to Gainesville),” Beckwith said. “If they do manage to fly, then we’ll see.”
No other key takeaways from the OV, other than he hasn't spent much time with Pruitt prior to it.
