My take on the stats, Jud had a really good summer but Calilao has been in a slump since April. Anyone know if Calilao has been battling injury?

Gator Charla Echols is still playing 3rd in the U19
Wallace scores the only run, USA beats Japan
The USA beat Japan, 1-0, and are now the only undefeated team in the WBSC U-19 Women’s Softball World Cup. The USA scored in the first with one of the only two runners allowed by Japanese starter Imu Goto. Skylar Wallace was actually tagged for the out at home, but the run scored because of obstruction at third base.
Wallace was standing at first when third baseman Charla Echols grounded to shortstop and kept running towards third when the throw went over the head of Japan’s first baseman. Wallace stopped after reaching the third-base bag, then headed to home plate, where she was tagged for the out. The third base umpire ruled her stop at third an obstruction and the run scored.

Can Gator BB players come to the plate with a wood bat in NCAA play? I can't believe it is out of bounds.
I know that hitting with a wood bat makes inside pitches more problematical for the hitter, but it has got to get into the pitcher's head and they are not used to pitching inside against wood bats.
Pitching and hitting is a total mind game. I am just wondering if this wrinkle is allowed and if it is worth it.
This might be especially important if the "book" on the hitter was to pitch away.
