With Conliffe's career coming to end more need of more DTs on the 2021 class
Get Watson and i mean at this point, gotta risk it with Collins if you the board hasn't already been expanded (which im sure it has, we just dont know who the new targets are)
Yes, UF needs 3 at DT and if you can get 4 decent ones you do it.
First time, long time... thanks for all you do here, candy! What about the portal for a plug n’ play DT given this late stage in the recruiting game?
Our roster screams “play at UF” yet... man if we can just win the East this year.
I hate needing a transfer, but that 4th player should be an upperclassman. Without Conliffe we look really young next year.
I completely agree, is there any website to check to see who is in the transfer portal? Or do we have to rely on people reporting it
It's not public. This one is pretty quick at updates:
2020 Football Transfer Portal
Tebow played at pretty young also and more reliance on our three young ones will be needed.
We have six to play one spot and that should be plenty
I think we are fine for next year, 2021 is the real question, going to be really young.
Being young next year may not be a bad thing if a Fr or two get extended playing time because of Concliffe and they progress. We could end up young and very talented. It’s down the road that we will need this years class.
The timing of Conliffe's announcement to retire is perfect. I wonder if the coaches informed Taylor, Watson and Collins of this retirement?
DT isn't a position that you need a lot of experience, young players can play quickly.
Not very often are 18 year olds physically ready regardless of how much technique they have. Dexter may be more of an exception than the norm.
The hell it isnt lol. Name the last All Conference true freshmen DT that the SEC has had? Hell name the last true freshmen DT that started or got heavy minutes
For UF?? maybe not for UF, but it has, just can't give you a name.
Not so sure. I think a DT being ready physically AND mentally as a freshman is pretty rare. These guys might be able to beat the guy in front if them, but are they able to consistently play their assignment?
Wish UF would go after Tywone Malone
Physically a side i believe that a true FR DT could handle it better than at any other position other than K/P.
