Yep. He was active, made some plays, though young and undersized. A good get.
Highly regarded DT Horace Lockett from Westlake Geoorgia and the 2020 class has the Gators high on his list. Locket who recently turned 17 yrs is 6-61/2 and 305 lbs.
Do we know that? I don’t want to think of it that way. Good move for CB because he’s seeing the field and should get drafted.
Bama’s DL recruiting 2018-2020 5,6,5. Gotta love Saban. Peddle to the meddle. I wonder, if Bogle’s fallback were georgia or LSU would Bama have found room for a seventh DL, somehow, some way.
Yes, we know that
Wrong. Not even close to accurate. I have some bama booster friends at the office and they were calling him in their class and said he was a take all the way. Lot of revisionist history here to make us look bad for some reason.
Not making us look bad, that was the case. Tryna find the premium article but that's what Bogle said.
And no one is trying to make UF "look bad". Like who benefits from that?
I don't remember anything that specific about Bama and Bogle....maybe him saying UF wanted him more or showed more love, but not that he wasn't a take for Bama
Would love to see that quote from Bogle himself because even if there is one I’m guessing it’s manufactured, put out there for a motivation thing (“they didn’t want me”).
He definitely had the green light for a “real” Bama offer. Coworkers who told me this were the same ones who laughed when I said I thought we had a decent shot at Sanders.
By look bad I just mean giving those who aren’t a fan of Mullen’s recruiting additional ammunition to prove their point and beat the dead horse. We won a recruiting battle. There are plenty of other actual valid recruits to point out we lost the battle for their services. This isn’t one of them.
I saw the same thing Bobby mentioned, a while ago. Who is one supposed to believe if not Bogel himself?
Please find a firsthand quote of him saying that. The onus is on you. Like someone else mentioned I have a feeling his statements were more on par with us showing him more love than Bama. Doesn’t mean his offer wasn’t legit.
Grantham is going to have lots of possible combinations for the Gator DL. He should be able to have gas in the tanks for his starters thru 4 quarters. I’d love to see Dexter earn some rep’s at SSDE so Carter could slide inside on passing downs. With Cox on the other end, this season’s pass rush might exceed last years numbers considering ‘19’s two best pass rushers were hobbled for much of the year.
I saw the same thing as Bobby. Even commented on it a while ago.
It’s the thing to do these days. Maybe we should start tearing down statues too. Hell, even Christopher Columbus is now being portrayed as a bad guy.
I wonder where David Reese fits into this as well. He's forgotten because of his injury
My guess is he is in the same boat as Diabate (Buck/LB), except he has not seen the same number of snaps as Diabate.
Buh bye Username
Yea man it's weird that last year is probably the worst we've had athletically at LB in a LONG time and they still were pretty good. I think by 2022 if we have the same defensive staff, our LB/STAR room is going to be filthy once Miller, Houston, and Brunson graduate
On the flip side, even in the best recruiting years, I don't recall us having anywhere near the depth of talent/athleticism at LB as we have now and will have in '21. Even Miller and Houston are pretty decent athletes. Diabate, Reese, Wingo, Hopper, Burney, Black. If just 1/2 of them can learn their position well, we are going to be golden.
