I mentioned this player before, and I was told that he has not passed his physical... so we might not be interested in him? That still might be true, but Elijhah Badger is still visiting the Gators. He is just what the Gators need on the offensive side of the ball... more depth and proven talent at the receiver position. https://247sports.com/college/flori...ected-date-for-a-uf-official-visit-231478761/
to my knowledge, which is little, he hasn’t even done a physical for UF.there has been no opportunity for him to even do so. Only contact has been verbal. Or maybe I’m wrong. Usually am.
This is the only guy (WR) I’ve wanted, who was outside the SEC, and eligible. Would have taken the Penn State kid, but he wasn’t coming to UF. The news on the Physical, came from Buddy Martin, some time ago.
Not sure, but the chatter is Washington stopped recruiting him out of the portal for some reason, but that could mean nothing.
Help me out.. If we get him, would he be considered a 2024 enrollee? Would that bolster our class ranking? How exactly does this work..
There are questions about a back injury and, it may be true, but I think he's worth the risk. With that said, his back may or may not be an issue. I believe we are already at 85 scholarships, but we will see if BN offers or not. And, BN has until the fall for the 85 number reckoning. As Rick said, Washington was interested in Badger, and now they're not. Is that an indicator of his health? Maybe or maybe not!
I like that he seems to have strong hands, is not afraid to go over the middle and doesn't go down very easy. I think Mertz' accuracy and ability to throw a easily catchable ball would make him a great target in our offense. That is, if Mertz is given time to go through his progressions and make a throw.
He's a beast after the catch too... He knows how to get YAC yards which is a very important skill/trait in a receiver. Lol... Yak... lmfao!
