SEC has posted that the Gators can sign 9 more players in 2018. Question is who ?
    2- Barnes, NPF
2- Gerald, Jefferson / Miller, Chattfield
    2- Walker, Peters
    2- Copeland, Watkins
    1- Griffin
    9- Total
Eliminate someone and add a Safety ?

I think Griffin chooses UT or stays out west. And I think NPF is Ohio state...possibly bama.

The SEC posts this stuff? Then how does Bama oversign every year? Does the SEC give them more leeway?

The actual SEC doesn't list anything....im sure this is some recruiting site he is referencing.

Uf number may also be impacted by the Randy Russell situation. While he did actually "sign" and would be an initial counter, I would think uf could get a waiver to get his slot back.

    Pretty solid.
Does this assume Gouraige is in? If so then Montilus may be waiting on NPF’s spot.

I think we take three from the second list. Gerald or Chatman AND Miller or Jefferson AND Chatfield or Tannor or Langham (or Manac?)

Realistically there’s about a 33% chance for each of Walker, Peters, and Griffin. So we’ll likely only get one and due to numbers shouldn’t pursue a plan B, except maybe at CB. That means very likely one spot opens up for that third DL.

Most importantly, the Gators are believed to be able to take 24 initial counters in the 2018 recruiting cycle. Having already signed 13 early and taken two transfers in the form of Van Jefferson and Trevon Grimes, that would leave Florida with a maximum of nine additions coming National Signing Day.

However, due to Randy Russell's medical exemption prior to participating in much, there is a question of whether Florida would be able to appeal and recover his initial counter spot in the 2018 cycle. If it can and is successful with an appeal, the Gators could add as many as 10 come signing day.

Nothing new here. Notorious is right on with his comment about Randy Russell. That we may not know until signing day and the coaches press conference.

No. The new regime needs OL that can move and aren't stuck in the mud. Someone else please

Does the outcome of the knucklehead nine still have an impact on this years numbers?

Ebb and flow it's always in constant motion. Look at Scarlett coming back. If he is now a redshirt junior for 2018 we may not add another RB in the 2019 recruiting class if all 6 stay after this year.

Tarponbro I definitely agree with signing players at every position. I was trying to give Kerrdog a different perspective on the needs and numbers and how they keep changing. Having 6 RBs for this year and next year creates an overload. But let me say it usually has a way of working its way out. Somebody will not be happy. I certainly hope we can add 1 RB in next year's class. That being said it might also depend on what's available for us next year.

I should also add that you need to sign at least one quality player at each position, not just a project. At positions of OL, WR, DL, LB and DB, UF needs to sign more than one quality recruit, at some of those positions at least three.
