"Frey also had one year left on his contact deal with the Seminoles before parting ways, meaning he will still collect from FSU while helping the Gators as an off the field analyst"

    Ha ha...

I think Mullen made a pretty good decision there.

Frey will be able to bring a bunch of knowledge and experience to the Gators.

The more I see the way Coach Mullen operates, in his hires of his coaching staff, (special kudos to Savage, Hevesy and Grantham), along with his ability to develop his players, and make his halftime and gametime adjustments....

The more I like him, and know that we have the right guy at the helm, who is more than capable to lead us to more National Championships!

OK, so WHY is he a good get? He was at halfassU for one year and is still on their payroll. Maybe, he's their mole.

I'm not saying he isn't a good hire, but FSU's o-line sure wasn't any good.

What does he bring to the table for us?

Their O-line had 8 players suffer injuries during the season.

So far, Mullen has proven that he knows what he's doing...
Our O Line sure can use every bit of help they can get to gear up for the start of this season, so I'm pretty confident.

All the off-field guys help the nuts and bolts of prep. Self-scouting, breaking down opponent tendencies, grading player performance - all of which are utilized in practice and game-planning for the on-field coaches and players. The more experience and acumen you have in the off-field positions, the better prepared the program is as a whole.

The guy flat out has a defined vision and specific plan to get the program where he wants to go, and the experience of a decade of building and implementing the pieces of it at MSU.

It may not be as instantaneous as some would like, but everything he has done since he got off the plane that day has pushed the program closer to where we would all like it to be.

Exactly. This guy isn’t coaching up our OL. Hire as many analysts as possible. The more people gearing toward getting us back on the top the quicker it’ll happen.
