Florida wins the 2022 men's outdoor track and field team title Joseph Fahnbulleh powers Florida to men’s team title at NCAA track & field championships; Oregon Ducks tie for 25th
It also means adding a title we do not currently hold. Not even Stanford can win NCs in all sports (never won one in softball). The more Gator sports with a NC the better.
Just got a TJ from LSU who should up our jump game this coming year. He was SEC champion in the event indoors and outdoors this year
I listened to an hour long interview with Joe F the other day. Lots of stuff in it, he was very complimentary of mouse. But one of the things he said is that on days where guys are dragging, Mouse will say to them “if you don’t wanna work I got a whole bunch of guys in the portal that wanna be here.”. Which is an awesome quote, but apparently true too .
oh very true, he moved out some guys last year to bring in Champ and Patterson...I look for him to move about 4 or 5 guys and ladies out to bring in others. Mouse is the man and you see during that interview when they were acting up and he said hush to them they went dead silent. I laughed so hard when that happened.
Funny thing is that in that same interview Joe said that moment was maybe his favorite of the day. He said Mouse gives them that look all the time and he has a hard time keeping a straight face. But he did go quiet.
skywa1k3r_ First and foremost I want to thank LSU for giving me the chance to be a collegiate athlete but especially Coach Todd Lane for taking me to new heights as athlete and I will for ever have love for this program and LSU will forever be a part of me. With that being said I will be transferring and continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Florida. #gogators tried to upload the photo but it would not allow me
He’s interesting because his lifetime best is top shelf, but he didn’t get close late this year. Wonder if that’s why he is coming, maybe get back to what he’s capable of.
wants to work with Nic and Mouse. Peterson wants to rebuild the jump crew. Last few years have been dismal really. Yes he has 56 or 57 foot jumps in him for sure.
Mouse wants kids that are interested in full-time focus on track. He really does not have time for kids that want to continue playing football 7 months per year. Not HS any longer. Need to specialize and work on your craft year round like Grant did. Can’t be half in. We have the top program in the country, as no part-time contributors.
he will make an exception or two, but they have to be in that special category like Capel and Demps were
That was a huge moment and it spoke volumes about the relationship and respect they have for him. That respect/ love is not automatic- not all coaches have it. It was a very telling moment about our program, Mouse, and why we've had the success we've had.
Lot of interesting rumors in the world Track and Field right now. North Carolina A&T has already lost their coach to Tennessee, there are strong indications that Oregon is ready to move on from their head coach, Auburns head coach is gone, and there is much dissatisfaction with Georgia’s poor showing. (the men were favored by many to win the NCAA’s) Bodie did not perform up to potential this year, but the same is true for a whole host of other top stars… Micah Williams was a prohibitive favorite in the 100m and finished 7th. Meanwhile Mouse has both Gator squads performing above their rankings. I suspect we will see some more transfers from big name track stars. (No, I don’t have names) Meanwhile the Florida high school ranks are loaded with top notch talent next year, especially in the sprints and jumps. Incidentally our throws signee from Georgia (mens) improved another 6-7 ft. from last year with a best just short of 67’ in the shot put.
