Florida defeats number one Maryland, national champs, stops their 86 home victories. Great job
I've been a fan since the year before the first year and this is unbelievable. How the hell did we beat them at their place? They had an 86 game win streak going back to 2012.
I remember when we first started, Northwestern was the Death Star. It was inconceivable to ever beat them. After a couple of years, we zoomed up into the Top 10, but would still get punked by them.
After a while, Northwestern declined and we broke through. And Maryland got on our schedule, and they Death Star'd us. No matter how good we were, they pasted us (usually near the start of the season.)
This win...it's like the Miracle on Ice.
We have so many good thing happening with the men's Tennis and Golf team winning as well as the men's basketball and baseball teams. The women softball and basketball teams also winning but this has to be the biggest this weekend.
They are getting destroyed today at home by Loyola though. Must have spent the week reading their own press clippings.
Came back to earth
I watched most of the second half. Rather astonishing. Loyola at one point had a 9-0 run. They were getting point-blank feeds and shots right in front of the goalie, who had no chance to stop anything.
Not really sure I've seen anything like it.
Of course Maryland wasn't remotely Maryland...they lost 19-6 to UNC today.
Got back on track a bit today, 21-6 road win at Kennesaw state.
They host #3 Stonybrook this weekend.
