True story, my son's soph year he moved into a duplex where him and 7 other baseball players lived. I stopped in one day and there was a hole in the living room wall. I informed them that was stupid and they would have to pay to get it fixed. They all just roared, my son said "Dad we're all baseball players, we know how to patch drywall. Had to do it in every locker room we've been in"

Don't want to make a new thread...

What's your Hoover strategy? Here's mine:
    - Tuesday "tandem start" - Clemente and Fisher. Who goes first vs second depends on whether the enemy is better vs. LHP or RHP.
    - Wednesday "tandem start" - Coppola and Neely. Coppola goes first, no matter how LH/RH the enemy leans.
    - Thursday - Peterson
    - Friday or Saturday, if needed, Cags

By Fisher do you mean Cade or Jameson? Jameson threw 76 today so no chance he goes Tues. Cade threw 25 today so possible. Clemente threw 37 Thurs and 12 today, but he is a year removed from TJ so do you use him 3 times in 5 days? It's a problem because Coppola and Jac had really bad starts

Tuesday: Cade Fisher, not Fisher Jameson. I get your point re: Clemente and TJ recovery, but scuttlebutt is Clemente wants to be used more, not less. And if he's unhappy, he'll transfer out. Win or lose Tuesday, make the NCAAT or not.. I want Clemente on the 2025 roster.

Cade will probably be the guy
Clemente struggled today, and it was the first time for him to have a quick turnaround. Could be coincidence, could be indicative of his arm. But regardless, he's getting plenty of work now.....if he leaves it's not because of innings. He clearly is well positioned to get more work this postseason and a leading candidate for weekend starter next year. That's pretty obvious

Even though the season isn't quite over I wanted to congratulate our 3 hitters that improved their overall batting average from the end of last year. Caglianone went up 90 points (323 to 413). Evans went up 77 points (239 to 316). Robertson went up 15 points (231 to 246). Shelnut was only down 7 points so he remained steady. Everyone else went down which is a bigger issue, not to mention pitching numbers.

Really like your thought process I would start Jake Tuesday. Coppola just isn’t there yet and Contrary to what Sully said with regards to him startingg From the beginning, I cannot see him as our number one guy. Almost has to be
Jake- Fisher- Cade- Neely. I pitch Coppola in match up situations. The have to start him thing is probably done I’d hope now. get him warm between innings and let him pitch to start an inning specifically look at certain matchups.
    Liam- can definitely pitch Wednesday.
Cags- remember Cags did not throw his normal 90-100.

Cags and Mikey getting better, love it.

  15. I mean all of them are gonna get plenty of work next year. Theoretically biggest improvement should be this offseason now that they know what it means to pitch in the SEC, most of your mistakes are penalized.

We got Vandy Tuesday at 5:30. Interested to see the pitching matchups. Clemente definitely wants to pitch more.

You got Jameson throwing after Jake on Tuesday? Yeah, he only threw 76 on Saturday and a quick 16 on Thursday. I'm sure he will be ready:rolleyes:.....you might as well start Cags with that logic, although I'm sure you have pondered it.

What a crazy format for the tournament. 1st game single elimination, then double elimination to the semis, then back to single elimination.

Do we have pitchers that don't "want to pitch more"?
