Moved Kirby McMullen to possible DH with report he is batting over .400 in summer league as an All-Star. He could be a team captain next year as well if voted by the players.

    Question for @gatorjjh
John, when will the Gator website usually update their roster? Before fall ball or sometime after? Please let me know if you get sent any updates. Can't wait for February to come around again. I really appreciate your summer league updates.
I'm hoping to keep the info on page 1 as current as we can keep it for all here and for tracking as we go.

I don't know but I check Twitter most every day and that includes GatorsBaseball so when it goes up I expect Apple will tweet about it

Gatorzone often doesnt update the roster very quickly for baseball. Some schools update in the fall, some dont add new guys until the spring. Team and individual photos usually done in January, so that is some schools timeframe to update online

Look for a lot of transfers. The incoming recruit class is large in size. Sully is going to do a good bit of paring.

I checked last year our online roster had 32 players listed. I counted the ones we still have coming back and the incoming players we are counting on and it adds up to 36. That could mean we have 4 more to pare away, without considering any jucos that Sully may want to add.

We won't know anything with any real certainty until just before fall practice starts, I wish it was next week :)

Huddy was a warrior. True grit. Miss that guy and he did work his way in. I honestly feel like Mace’s era this year was a huge disappointment. 8-5 doesn’t mean that much when the era is 1 to 1.5 runs a game higher than it should be. If this team didn’t hit the way it did that 8-5 would be 5-8. I hope Sully lights some fires under some pitcher’s butts. For Jack and Tommie this is their money year.

I see he had a good starting performance for Charlottesville this week - does anyone have info on his status with the team?

Normally only a small handful of players (usually no more than 3-4) drafted in the first ten rounds don’t actually sign. Most of the agreements are made before a player is drafted so it is an injury (is Brady Singer) or some other circumstance that causes final negotiations to break down after the draft.

Well Langworthy is once again off to a slow start in summer ball, like the last two seasons at Florida. Because of that I have dropped him to 5th in the batting order and moved up Acton to batting 2nd. I would expect Langworthy to move his way up like most years as we get into SEC play.

Acton has been hitting 7 or 8 in Summer ball I think he will be better by the time we need him but 2nd seems high based on his stats and where he is hitting now

Who do you think would be better for us batting second to start the season.? Fabian? I'm interested to hear your perspective.

    87—

Good topic for the off season—start at the top—who do you put in the leadoff spot?

Right now on what we know is returning (because we don’t know what the new guys will bring to the table) I would be looking at JY to kickstart the game....

It will be interesting for sure. You have 6 guys that played a ton last year coming back. RHH JY, Jud, Kendrick and Brady. LHH Acton and Lang. You have to figure Edge (LHH) will get some early opportunities. You could go RHH, LHH, RHH, LHH, RHH, LHH, RHH for your first 7 hitters if Edge is in the lineup. Could be an opposing manger's nightmare thinking about pitching situations later in ball games.

that is my way too early guess for lineup, and you can flip guys game to game, if they hit reasonably well by the time we get to SEC could be a killer line up to pitch to
