don't you know the taliban ad is cussing the $23 million UF just got from the sec
The legislature first needs to tell FsU to pound sand if Nolies think the state's taxpayers will invest one more dime in their trashy football stadium. Then send in an inspector and condemn the stadium. No games until all problems are fixed. Make them rent FAMU's stadium or Lincoln High's stadium for a season or until every single guardrail and patch of rust is fully repaired and tested. That should get their attention.
Ah, so the angle is safety. They will get the money because of that.
UCF plays in a better stadium than Joke Shambles.
in today's world they will get there money-shameful how they will use the safety angle- if it is unsafe then why are they using it now
Thought it was moderately entertaining that they are in hock for everything yet they outspend us in recruiting
The minute we stop making fun of all the absurdities we’re all fked.
If only he were serious about those 9m doge he’d have about 3.15 million worth right now
Feel better now? The legislature, nor state taxpayers have anything to do with that Leon Cty-City of Tallahassee Intergovernmental agency that is fundened by a Leon County voter approved $.01 sales tax. It first funded improvements to the FAMU stadium, amongst other projects.
The East Stands at the Swamp date back to the 30s and 40s. Can we have $250 million to make them 2021-safe?
Wow! Haven't seen you around here in some time.
Nah. That place is a dump.
The old Citrus Bowl I would agree. The new on campus stadium is great. It's nothing fancy, but it's newer and functional as all get out. It built with possible future expansion made easy.
Too Hot for Seminole Gas.
^^^^^^ we all laugh but we are gonna bail them out! So I’m not real thrilled
Oh u will pay my friend. The State of Florida will not let the sister school drown ! Buckle up !
I will feel better when FsU gives back the $115 million that it stole from the state's taxpayers when it asked for money for new classrooms, and then proceeded to use that money to build useless 8'-wide classrooms with a brick facade around the stadium in 2005. Disgraceful. I asked Bernie Machen how FsU could get away with stealing money like that, and he just smiled and shook his head. (Bernie needs a better disguise when he travels business class internationally. I also found out that Bernie is highly irritated by people who can do difficult Sodoku's with a pen.)

FSU gets early green light to tap into $20M in Blueprint sales tax dollars for football stadium
Florida State University pulled out the big guns Thursday for the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency meeting that gave early approval for FSU to tap into $20 million in sales tax dollars to fund football stadium work.
A vote to move the project forward followed hours of public debate in which FSU coaches, including football Coach Mike Norvell and men's basketball Coach Leonard Hamilton, passionately advocated for the university. They said the stadium is a place that has been life-changing for student athletes and showcases Tallahassee to the nation.
Ultimately, the 12-member IA board, made up of county and city commissioners, voted 9-3 to approve a $35,000 economic impact study of the project with the full funding to be considered at a future meeting. City Commissioners Jeremy Matlow and Jack Porter along with County Commissioner Kristin Dozier voted in opposition.
The $20 million is part of a $120 million plan to renovate and repair the 70-year-old Doak Campbell Stadium. It comes in lieu of a FSU proposal to build a controversial convention center using sales tax dollars, which was dropped at the group’s Thursday meeting. FSU has committed to raising the remaining $100 million in needed funding privately.
