Cocaine is a hell of a drug
Heard Canes thought that he was arrogant. Actually a few Gators thought the same prior to his hire (probably not now as he has totally embraced being.a Gator). Personally I never thought it was a good fit anyway.
The canes passing on him was the best thing that could happen to him.
That board claims he wanted to be their HC twice. Which is possible, but they only like to hire crappy HC's!
I doubt we are considering Pope. He was overrated in HS and he is too small. Still is on the thin side.
Really don’t think we have a spot for him even if we were interested, good problem to have. I’ll take Henderson and Shorter to finish off our WR Corp and be happy.
With Henderson on board, I have to wonder if it’s Manuel or Shorter and possibly not both.
Mark Pope would be better served at UCF
I think we would take both if we could, hopefully Manuel has done what he needed to.
Only so many spots though and what is the position of need? Who does the extra receiver knock out of the class?
I’m thinking either Manuel or Britt might not make it into the class for whatever reason. I think we take Manuel if he gets his grades, but who knows if that happens. Obviously the coaches have a much better idea of where we are with these issues, so who we are still actively recruiting and who commits probably gives us some insight.
The Canes can’t afford a $6 million salary per year for the football coach or a million dollar defensive coordinator, which is what it would have cost Miami to attract Mullen. Look what they were paying Golden, Richt, and now Diaz. Not even $4 million. Richt had to donate salary back to UM just to get the Indoor practice facility built on campus The truth is that the University of Miami no longer has the salary budget to attract the top coaches or pay top 10 staff salaries. UM is afraid to publicly state this, but their actions and hiring activity suggest this to be true.
Is Manuel going to qualify? We should know by now, I would think.
Lets the canes fans cry all they want... we own this state now so it's our way or the highway. That's just the way it goes.
They won’t find out for a while I would imagine. Seems more of a last minute kind of deal thinking about last year.
Arrogance is not bad if you can back it up. I miss the days of SOS and the arrogance he allowed me to have as a Gator.
A lot of progress can be made between now and August regardless of the current situation.
Possibly only one take of the three even though they are all talented.
arrogance even with talent can only be pulled off by a select few.
That post is a winner without even reading it!
just to confirm.... Did Mullen interview at UM?
