I want to demonstrate my bipartisan outrage. This is a pretty big deal…I expect more from Biden on chicken count accuracy. Embarrassing.

    The article continues:

“However, the nation's second-smallest state does have a booming poultry industry with a chicken population that outnumbers its residents by 200:1. But Delaware's chicken population does not crack the top 10 of states in the nation, according to Statistica. And its poultry industry, which is worth an estimated $1.7 billion and provides 3,500 jobs, is not even in the top five in the U.S., according to the National Chicken Council. “

What an expose! I suspect this is what gave rise to the statement, findable with a 1 minute google

The industry is the perfect partner when paired with agriculture. Delaware also excels agriculturally, boasting the most effective farms in the nation. They were ranked 1st in the nation for agricultural sales at $2,791 per acre in 2021. Livestock growers also need feed that is best when cheapest and fresh. These needs can be satisfied by local businesses. This cross-pollination helps all parties involved.

Poor Biden. In his defense there were a lot to count.

I eat more eggs than I should and it is one area where Publix is considerably more expensive than local competition. I went into a Sprouts over the weekend, the 18cnt of eggs was about $5 cheaper.

For someone appalled at higher prices you haven’t done much work to avoid them. :)
