This is crazy man smh
Hate to see something like this blemish our program's reputation.
Earl Antonio Joiner, 33, was arrested for the three-year-old murder of Heyzel Obando on Saturday at approximately 10:30 a.m. in Lakes Wales, Florida, according to investigators.
FMPD worked with Polk County Sheriff's Department and charged Joiner with second-degree murder.
Fort Myers Police worked closely on this case with the Oxygen Television series Cold Justice and the State Attorney's Office.
Boyfriend arrested in 2016 cold case murder
3 years later? Sounds like he got got by a jailhouse snitch after running his mouth.
2nd Urbs player charged with murder. Sad story all around.
Wasn't he the one that had the run-in with the tow truck company where he basically stole his car back from the lot, or something like that?
His last name isn't Joiner?
Once a Gator, always a Gator. However, once you are removed from the program especially over a decade and a couple coaches, your actions are yours and yours alone.
This imo doesn’t reflect poorly on our program as people do bad things from all demographics. There will be critics who always try and capitalize on people with connections to the program.
Personally, I’d let this thread die an immediate death.
RIP to the deceased. That's all I got.
I hate that someone was killed
But not that the one responsible was caught
If he did it he deserves whatever he has coming...no reflection on UF.
And once again the purported gator fan page on Facebook "in all kinds of weather" posts this story. Whats the point other than clickbait? I'm not trying to act like it didn't happen but why does a fan page of a school need to post this stuff up as a highlight story?
Innocent until proven guilty.
Unfortunately guilt by association --- with ........(wait for it)......The Liar(cue Darth Vader theme).
There are lots of budding "Andreu's" out there.
These are the stories that drive our society.
I definitely agree that it was joiners actions and not UFs. But I definitely think it reflects poorly. "Former Florida football player beats and murders wife". How is that not a poor reflection?
Normally I would say it doesn't reflect on us as a school but since Hernandez and others tarnished that era this definitely adds fuel to the fire
Yeah....and after he beat her twice before.
I want to let the proof come out and let the justice system run its course. I was a student during TJ’s time there and met him a couple of times at house parties. He seemed like a nice dude. Innocent until proven guilty. Wonder why it took 3 years to formally charge him?
The only reason this is news is because of his Gator connection. Otherwise, there is no story beyond local reporting.
