My daughter is a freshman this year. The environment is beyond toxic. I feel bad for possibly pushing her in that direction. Looking like next year she’ll be going to auburn. Goodbye bright futures and Florida prepaid. Also goodbye scholly auburn offered her outta highschool. Welcome outta state tuition. Lol. But in the end, we visited it twice now. Really cool town, good university, and it’s worth it

 

Enough about the football program, what about the school

Probly the best way but her nickels come from my quarters, so in the end it’s the same.

Go walk across campus sometime. Whether u agree with or don’t agree with political beliefs, it’s constant battles from both sides. PCU, if you’ve seen the movie.

 

FPP and BF sound like not either of y'all's nickels or quarters that she'd be leaving on the table. Over snowflake political sensibilities???

to each their own, I guess. I worked my ass off thru college and after. But I still loved college cause I didn’t GAF. Either way, she earned the right to go anywhere she wanted for free. That was on me pushing her to uf. Now I’ll pay for that error. Lol

 

Confess I don’t know. Is that something that’s worse at UF? Any idea why?

 

I toured Auburn and they had me fill out a one page application (I thought it was just to get my information) and they came back 15 minutes later saying I’d been accepted. Nice town but academics aren’t their strong suit.

 

Lol. That’s not even close dude. It’s not as hard as UF but I think the OOS avg act is like a 28-30 or something.

 

Dude, they let in over 70% of the people that apply. It’s not an academic powerhouse, not even close.

I knew someone 10 years ago that lived in AL and was given a full ride scholarship to Auburn but was not even accepted to UF. He ended up going to neither.

 

Statistics apparently arent his friend. Uf admissions at like 40 percent cause it gets bombarded with Oos and Is apps. Lot of apps not many places. Equal low acceptance number. Auburn small school. Low number apps equals easy.

 

Sometimes the most important thing is “fit”. Not every place is right for every kid.

 

But again, I said already it’s not as hard as uf to get into, but it’s not juco. Lol. My daughter got a 33 on her act. I think she’s ok.
