He's pretty much been on injured reserve with shoulder inflammation ever since. Not having the career I think most of us thought he would have. #18 overall pick in the 2017 draft, 2022-2024 with the Tigers, he's 8-13 in the major leagues in 64 games, 30 starts, 175.2 IP, 4.51 ERA, 1.33 WHIP.

I saw it real time. It was incredible. Although this is only his second full year in the majors Jacob Young is already among the best defensive center fielders in the game. Not the first home run robbing catch he's made this season although undoubtedly the most spectacular, he's also made amazing catches of balls that looked like they were going to fall in for hits and has an arm like a cannon.
