Speaking of Harrison Bader, he hit a bomb that hit a painting the mascot was working on.

    I hope this video works:

David Ross had better get his Cubs hitting. They are 6 outs away from going 0-2 with the team currently being shut-out.

Wow, surprised Marlins even made the playoffs. Anything can happen in these little miniseries tho.

David had a very successful first year. Won the NL Central. Definitely going to look back and think what might have been but he still added a banner. Always a good year.

WTF was Ross doing with corners in with two outs and runners at first and second and the game close?

I was all WTF seeing that.

And it didn't work out for him.

When you score 0 runs, situations like the one you are describing are irrelevant...

But to your point, he probably left Yu in a little too long as well. Some mistakes on his part but it was his first season.

But he has been around the block a few times.

Two outs with runners first and second you play back so that any grounder other than a really slow roller is a sure out at three different bases. And the worst case scenario with a slow roller is bases loaded with two outs if your team doesn't make an error. First and second means that a shot down the line that gets by will be a bases clearing double.

I had no dog in that game and was just watching, but it seemed like a boneheaded defensive call.

DOD with a scoreless inning for the Braves today.

Z had a tough day yesterday. Went 0-2 and had a tough block get away in the 1st which led to a run. Wild pitch for sure but I am sure he would say he could have handled it. Snell was tough yesterday with a number of pitches in the dirt.

Zunino hit a 2 run HR tonight. Rays lead NY in game 2 6-4.

And his defense behind the plate especially blocking bounced pitches in the dirt with his body is truly a clinic. He blocks the ball with his chest leaning forward creating a downward angle that deadens the ball close to him so that he can control the loose ball.

To my knowledge anyway, that’s exactly how you draw it up.

Z doesnt hit for average, but he does seem to get a lot of key hits, at least when I'm watching and his defense is stellar.

If the Stros are going down, I want it to be to Tampa and Mike. He has had 2 big days in a row. Well played Mike.

Tampa Bay area doesn't deserve the Rays. Pitiful fan support to the extent that they wanted to play a bunch of games in Montreal.

    And a really ugly stadium.

They do have a solid team, though.

DOD had a rough outing yesterday giving up 2 ER in 0.1 IP.

Curious if he gets the ball today to try to rebound. ATL is getting destroyed 12-0 in the 2nd. Can’t win this game so getting the remaining 21 outs needs to have a purpose. Who needs the work and who doesn’t...

I've never looked at it in terms of who "deserves" a team. The owners take advantage of the local population and tax incentives. Should have *never* started playing in St. Pete if they are going to be a Tampa Bay team. When the fans have a voice, then they can be held accountable for what they deserve and don't deserve.

The proposal to play the first half of the season in Tampa and the second half in Montreal was ridiculous. If it weren't for Zunino, I'd hope they fall flat on their face.

That said, who knows how fans would show up if allowed! Knowing Tampa Bay, I'd bet they'd be on the high side of throwing caution to the wind!
