    THANX PEGEEN!
Link: Former FSU assistant suing university for unpaid wages during Independence Bowl

"Warren's lawsuit alleges that he was not paid for the "approximately 84 hours per week" that he spent as an assistant coach from Dec. 8, 2017, to Dec. 27, 2017. That's when Warren was promoted to an assistant coach to prepare the team for the Independence Bowl after Fisher left to take over at Texas A&M. Warren also claims he worked an average of 100 hours per week as a quality control coach, but was never paid for more than 40 hours per week."

"Warren was a high school football and baseball coach at Chiles High School in Tallahassee before Fisher brought him aboard. He was not retained by new ‘Noles head coach Willie Taggart."

Other than overpaid CEOs, Head Coaches, Presidents and such, as the US Economy has sunken deeper and deeper into the Pit that always follows currency debasement, everyone having a job works more than they ever should and almost never is compensated, unless they are hourly wage earners, and they are almost always underpaid because, after all, labor is the only thing of value in any economy.

He was an hourly wage earner but wasn't paid for anything over 40 hours. Sounds like a legitimate beef. OTOH he was promoted to RB coach and ST team, and apparently didn't even ask what it would pay, so they didn't pay him anything other than his hourly wage. He was dumb and they are completely worthless.

your job is 40 hours per week. Your career is whatever the hours you must put in to be successful.

I think this coach has been caught between FSU, Fisher, and TA&M. Per Fisher’s comtract, he is responsible for all remaining coaches salaries of coaches FSU did not retain. This coach probably wants FSU to pay this amount, while FSU is stating that paying this coach is Fisher’s responsibility, and Texas A&M in Fisher are saying that they are only responsible for his salary, not his hourly wages. So FSU, Fisher, and Texas A&M are all pointing at each other for who is on the hook to pay this coach.

But the coach should not have to wait. FSU needs to pay him and then FSU can then seek the money from Fisher.

T A&M has no dog in this hunt. It's between ref$u and Jimbo, and both appear to be showing their ass

Somebody “forgot to pay for” his salary...not the same as “forgot to pay for crab legs...and butter”. Why do so many noles forget to pay for things?

Would be lucky too, but my current is a yellow lab mix from Jax that someone tired of. Had a lotta good dogs in my life, and a lotta good labs, and "Honey" is another great one.

I wonder if that terrier will qualify as a "water dog" from now on? Very funny video, BTW.

From the OP: "Warren was a high school football and baseball coach at Chiles High School in Tallahassee before Fisher brought him aboard." Hmm. Hmmmm.

Anybody here bored enough to poke around and figure out which 4* or 5* recruit(s) were funneled from Chiles High School to FSU prior to this guy being rewarded with a job offer?

  15. Unless you own your own business, you deserve to get paid for the work that you do. That's what our whole system is built upon. There are possibilities for alternate forms of compensation but overall, companies shouldn't expect their employees to work for free. As a healthcare provider I bill for my services - unless I'm doing charity work (which happens regularly) then I expect fair compensation as determined by my market value. Either way from a purely PR standpoint this isn't a good look for Fisher or FSU.

From my understanding, Chiles is a relatively new high school in the area and it doesn’t turn out a lot of talent. The only player I know of that FSU has recruited from there is was a low 4* LB, Gainer, and he was part of last year’s recruiting class.

True. Chiles is not a hot bed of athletic talent, more of a hot bed of intellect.

And that smells no matter how you spread it. This is ANOTHER reason I don't like Fisher. If I am Fisher, and TX A&M is paying just short of what God makes, I pay this guy out of my own pocket (Clear it with the NCAA first because they are just as Shyty)

Galen Hall payed his Assistance his "Shoe Money" after they were kept out of a Bowl. (NCAA later nailed him on it) I always respected him for taking care of his people. But we see what Jimbo is made of.

Okay, thanks for the info. I'm just generally suspicious when I see a high school coach go straight to the head of the class by getting hired as an assistant at an elite NCAA program, as opposed to working his way up through the ranks at lesser programs first.
