UGA and Bama are the two schools leading for his services, supposedly. I believe, like Grimes and Jefferson, he could be available to play next fall.

For those who need their memories refreshed, he was the #1 ranked WR in the country 2 years ago.

    Very likely he picks UGA.

Wes Chandler was the WR coach out there a few years ago. Not sure when he left but it was probably before Robertson signed. I do remember when he came up even though he never had any interest in UF.

Personal matters? I guess they ran out of coloring books already. If the Ole ball coach had advised him, he would be staying at Auburn.

Hopefully Mullen pursues the kid hard. He is moving to get closer to home and Gainesville is 30 minutes closer to Savannah than Athens is.

Umm........I think we're good on receivers.

How about someone to deliver the ball to them? :emoji_point_up:

I think you recruit studs no matter how many studs you have. This guy was the #1 Overall WR in the country two years ago. Those are rare commodities and you get them whenever you can.

I'm on board but thought the point had to be made that our #1 concern is to get a decent QB. So far...we're not there, IMHO.

Just think how competitive we would be if we switched our QB's with those of Alabama....and all the rest of our positions stayed the same.

    I know...preaching to the choir.

I hope things work out for us this season with Coach Mullen and our new staff.

    GO Gators! :emoji_football:

Not to mention there is a downside to having talent then not showcasing it on the field. That becomes a bit of a recruiting tool against a team. "Hey, look at florida's 4 and 5 star WRs... seen them catch a ball lately?"

Well, although Cleveland, Swain, Hammond, Robinson & Green were 4* (no 5* WRs on the roster except for this year's addition Grimes), Robinson couldn't play and Green was Redshirted, otherwise:

    Last year,
Cleveland had 22 catches avg 18.6 ypc with 2 TDs
Hammond had 18 catches, avg 13.7 ypc no TDs
Swain had a mere 8 catches for 12 ypc with 1 TD

Meanwhile 3* WR Brandon Powell led with 42 catches avg 9.7 ypc, 3 TDs, just like 3* Antonio Callaway led the team in receiving the prior 2 years.

Note that Swain was injured for several games last year.

NOt exactly showcasing, but given last year's offensive inefficiency, what could one expect anyway?

Just what UGA needs is more 5*s.

BAZZA is spot on. What we need is good QB play.

I would add OL Talent DEPTH.

All that said, Mullen is way ahead of what I expected.

Hurts isn’t that good imo. He has the players around him. If bama has had a weakness the last decade, qb is it. Hurts isn’t bad but he’s no Watson. Could you imagine the outcome of the two last nc games if they switched qbs?

If his goal is getting the most receiving yards WV would be his destination.

My opinion he is Bama Bound. Either Bama or Georgia makes sense with both playing young QBs he can showcase with.
