Yeah, I wasn't staking claim to first, just saying 'one of the first'--either way, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts, that I 'liked' (if not 'winnered') that post of which you speak. :D

I do, that's what makes it funny. Learn to laugh not everything is so serious. The nuance is in the details.

You support trump, you constantly defend and prop him up no matter what he does right or wrong.

Lol... No worries. I'm just glad that you say him the way saw him as a leader and the person that could separate the Pubs (as in Trump) from the 16 RINOs that were running for POTUS.

I always hated Trump the celebrity so I thought Trump running was just plain stupid and paid him no mind. Once it was narrowed to Trump & Clinton I started listening to what Trump was saying became very pro Trump. I know this won't be popular with those on the left or the never Trump crowd but I do believe he is sincere in wanting to Make America Great Again, not for Trump but for America. I like his ideas all but a couple but believe in most of what he stands for. I don't have a problem with him standing up to his attackers (the press and foreign countries that have taken advantage of us for years). I do understand he can be a big buffoon but I can live with that. When he is gone from office I will probably dislike Trump the person again but until that day he is my President and I stand solidly behind him.

Nah, definitely not--you, GGG, MOI, perhaps a handfull of others surely have me beat--I was just one of the earliest, and one of the most aggressive in defending the idea of DJT as POTUS. But I definitely do not stake claim to being one of his most ardent supporters. I'm kinda more reactionary, and when others stepped up, I stepped back, toned things down a tad.

That's why I pointed out that I probably came off as one the loudest MAGA guys--because at the time, it was like >90% hate, vs. a handful of defenders, plus some overt advocates--of which you were probably one of the very few.

...and for which, I gladly tip my hat, sir.

I voted for neither Trump, nor Hillary. It was the first time since I was eligible to vote that I did not vote for a presidential candidate. I think Trump is half crazy, and I know Hilda is hopelessly corrupt. I assumed Hilda was going to win, so felt no need to endorse her candidacy by voting for her.

The only candidate I half liked was Bush, and I knew he had no chance.

It's not my feelings that are "hurt." it's that sometimes we just want to post without all the personal wishful-subliminal yet overt insults. I think you can be funny at times and I get most, not all, the 'genuinely' funny humor. But I'm not one that thinks personalizing "jokes" are funny. I hope you get more creative in the future, and by that, I mean use words without attaching my name to it.

Yes (to the bolded), but not necessarily.

My whole take there, was that DJT wants MAGA, as much for himself, as for the US--noting a patent congruence in interest there, to be expressly contrasted with any notion of any conflict of interest in that regard--since the welfare of his empire depends on the health of the US economy.

Perhaps a distinction without a difference, but I did not pretend to impute gratuitous altruism there (at least left the door wide open for healthy skepticism)--I was quite content that he is and always was an incredibly aggressive and successful advocate of his own interests--and that his interests were aligned with the US's.

As I posted before--it's like having an aggressive guard dog--he might just bite your hand off if you tried to pet him, but your content with the fact that what he views as home, is the same as what you call home--and if his aggression is directed at intruders posing a threat....you're just fine with his aggression.

You could be right but regardless of his reasons just having a POTUS who wants to MAGA for any reason is a whole lot better than the last President we had who didn't seem to give a rats ass about the country.

I voted for Johnson simply because the two-party system is an abject failure here. Nothing gets cleaned up in earnest until there is a viable third party. The Libertarian Party is the closest to getting there. If another party started to catch up and pass it then I would vote for that party's candidate.

BTW, Trump is what I thought Trump was going to be.

Johnson and Stein should have got way more votes it seems with how many people I see on the net and in public that claimed they voted for them.

I went Kasich in the primary. Wrote in "None of the Above" for the general since as has been said already twice, both were vomitus.

    Big Johnson here.

In the current climate, I'm not voting for and Rs or Ds. They can all go pound sand.

Rick, this place isn't called 'Too Hot' for no reason. You're coming across like a snowflake with hurt sensitivities. Better to shut up and stay off threads like this if you want to avoid a meltdown.
