Looks like a clear-cut case of premeditated murder to me.

It's inexcusable that these guys haven't been arrested. If it's not murder, it's manslaughter. They should have been arrested and charged that day. Can't believe Brunswick is willing to let racists perform a modern day lynching and walk free.

You can't just decide a random black jogger is a burglar, chase him down the street in your truck, try to jump out and corner him with firearms, and then walk away after you kill him when he tries to defend himself. Any person who tries to claim that is legal is full of crap.

Greg McMichael served for more than 30 years as an investigator for the Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office before retiring last May. Prior to that he was a Glynn County police officer for seven years. Brunswick DA Jackie Johnson cited a conflict of interest in turning the case over to the Ware County district attorney.

I think this explains why they weren't arrested.

Two DA's recused themselves, a third says he will take it to a grand jury, who knows when---
This is a murder case, pure and simple.
And the dad was a part of law enforcement for years.
I despise racist corrupt cops, the very profession that is charged with protecting society.

    Stomach turning.

    Immediate thoughts...

Dumb law, dumbly worded law too...one can arrest for both "reasonable" and "probable" grounds..., which is basically giving more power of arrest than police....Anyway...whatever the eff that means...GA's citizen's arrest law says nothing about being able to shoot and kill someone....so why did the first prosecutor accept their word and say they acted under the scope of the law?

And if these guys are claiming self-defense, where's the evidence?

And why are these assclowns getting any benefit of doubt when the video certainly doesn't unambiguously show self-defense.

I watched it a few times and think, heck if I'm a black guy (or whoever/whatever race) and some dudes in pick up trucks with shotguns are coming after me, I might want to run away. Or I might fight, and my aggression would be legit self-defense.

I wonder how the prosecutors would have treated this situation if it were a black man and his son chasing after a white guy running?

And I shouldn't have to wonder such a thing.

Felt sick when I saw the video, and then enraged when I learned it happened months ago. There's really no words for the injustice that is taking place.

Looks like from the video they attacked him out of the blue and when he fought back someone shot him. Murder, not manslaughter.

From what I understand, the guy filming is with the duo in the truck.

I re-watched the video today and around the 15 second mark, you can hear what sounds like to someone checking their gun to see if there is a round chambered. It is a metallic sound that sounds like action on the slide. It's definitely a "gun sound."

If that is the case, you have a road block set up with two armed individuals and someone else bringing up the rear who is also armed.

If the video wasn't released, this was definitely going to get swept under the rug. This was a murder.

Yup, they saw a black guy jogging in an area where they say had been break ins, grabbed some.guns, and decided they were taking him in dead or alive.

Idk....when he runs straight at the guy, instead of away from them, some might reasonably characterize that as 'attacking'.

“Attacking”, or desperately defending himself from lunatic racists who wanted to “talk” to him while brandishing a shotgun, I guess it depends on perspective.

    “Git over here boy.”

"Why did prosecutors accept their word..."?

Prolly bc the video appears to confirm it.

What do you make of the decedent crossing hard left, INTO and AT the guy????

I think he was probably afraid for his life because he saw two lunatics blocking the road brandishing weapons. While another was apparently following from behind?

Yeah, probably felt like he was about to be lynched and was going to go down fighting. Can't blame him.

Seriously? Inexplicably chose to attack? The guy just got chased down by two vehicles and was confronted by armed men. I'd rather not question how the target of vigilantes responds and instead hold the people responsible for creating the mess of a situation.
