I just purchased and received the New Gators Jumpman baseball cap and polo. However, after the announcement of Nike's affiliation with Kaepernick, I am serious considering returning the gear and ordering only anything besides Nike.

There are other options for Gator Gear besides Nike.

Should I return it, burn it, or .....?

I am not a fan of boycotts like this. They hurt the little guy. The store manager at the store you return it to for instance. That or the store will just resell it to someone else and Nike will never know.

Remember, lots of good guys have Nike deals too. Nick Calathes and Brad Beal are two Gators with Nike deals. So your money is supporting their deals too.

The university loses money in royalties too if people stop buying UF related gear.
But people are free to spend their money however they choose.

We have to stop politicizing non-political everyday publicly traded businesses. I wish that somehow all PUBLICLY TRADED businesses were not allowed to get into politics... It's polarizing our nation!!!

Sure that gear was made by little slave children in appalling labor conditions and sold for 1000% markup, but that advertisement is the real outrage.

Feel free to smash your phone designed by a liberal company and made in a communist country. Where does it all end? :)

Pass laws to ban things you don't like or agree with.

No, making people safe to live life free of politics in my everyday life... I want...

"Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" is a well-known phrase in the United States Declaration of Independence. The phrase gives three examples of the "unalienable rights" which the Declaration says have been given to all human beings by their creator, and which governments are created to protect.

Pursuit of happiness is not living under a hyperbolic and warring nation of divided peoples.

So you want to restrict other people's freedoms to make yourself happy. You want authority over others.

Making us as a nation polarized and resentful is "restrictive" in your opinion? Or is it the right of others to make living in American miserable for happy-go-lucky people? Or is that their right to create unrest and endless protests over everything... all the time.

My rights are more likely described, what's written in the Declaration of independence, than the anarchy that you present us with.

It works both ways, you buy Florida Nike gear with (or without) the jumpman logo and the University gets a small cut off of the royalty. Why would you not want to support your university?

You are calling for the govt to shut down public discourse. You want everyone to fall in line as you have. That is not what America is. We are a land where one is allowed to voice their displeasure or approval of issues. Our 1st amendment grants us all this voice.
The DoI is not a legal document. It is not law. The Constitution is the greater piece of paper here.

No... that's not what we call it. It could be a simple regulation... for the greater good and well being of all Americans.
