The team needs to make better decisions in late game situations too. The press slows down the game and limits the time to set up the offense. They need to have a better feel for the shot clock. That’s a part of this team growing up and building chemistry. This was a big step to becoming the team we want.

I think the reality is the amount of growth in 2 weeks was great AND there are still some issues we need to really work on (which deserve some constructive criticism).
Hopefully, this tourney will will give them some much needed confidence.

Xavier is tough man, gotta hand it to them. Their fans were terrific all night. I think they'll run through their conference.

I'm ok too, but we were #27 before the tournament so seems inevitable. As long as we keep improving the high rankings will come

Winner winner chicken dinner! We are heading in the right direction. There will be more bumps in the road, but we will keep improving.

A loss on the road rarely bothers me, losing at home bothers me. The 1-2 punch was tough, but hopefully this team has some good mo now with 3 straight solid wins.

It does look like there was a few games adjustment period, but some guys are brimming with confidence after this tourney.

    Love the win!
    Gators win Charleston Classic!
First time Gators won anything of significance since 2014.
Florida picks up their 1st quadrant win for their NCAA resume.

However, coming down the stretch with a 13 point lead, it does not seem like great strategy to just milk the clock while also not being able to get off too many good shots. Xavier kept chipping away into Florida's lead.

Like all Florida fans, relieved for the win!

That was such a bogus call. Panzy ref took offense to AI waving off the call.

Also, looks like Noah is shooting better within the offense...he had a couple of forced up 3's because we drained the clock down so I don't count those against him. I thought he shot better this tourney.

That's just us still overthinking at times in the critical moments. They'll look back on this and see how great we are when we just play. The one possession where Scottie got an offensive rebound, and hesitated, and then took a long jumper is the one play that stood out. Can't have that overthinking mentality. Either take it up right away, or pull it out and use clock.

oh man that long Scottie jumper 2 seconds after his offensive rebound drove me nuts. He's a smart kid, but that's a bonehead play - on many levels. Growing pains though, you're right.

After looking at how all the ranked teams played this past week, only 2-3 ranked teams were beaten from what I could see...so we'll probably be 24th or 25th.

Yea I don't see it this year with Villanova. Xavier's a complete team. Their fans know it.

Glad the team finished 3-0 in the tournament, hopefully, this will jumpstart the offense and give the players the confidence needed to have a great season.
