The Nazis really poisoned the well by turning the classic concentration camp invented by the British Empire into a synonym for death camp

It was reported that this facility will handle the court hearings for these people, so they should all get their due process.

So does your support for sending untried and not convicted people to a prison in a country likely not of their origin ...... derive from you being reasonable and good-hearted?

Love to get imprisoned by the government in a remote area so I can eventually find out later what I'm being charged with, and hope I can contact someone or let them know where I'm at

    1. Biden and friends permitted/encouraged millions of immigrants to enter and remain illegally in this country.

    2. Identification and processing of millions of illegal immigrants for deportation is very difficult. Perfection in identification and processing is impossible - thus, just as in any aspect of life from the beginning of time, there will be stories of hardship, injustice, mistakes, etc.

    3. The Left emphasizes any singular or multiple instance of error in identification or processing to condemn in toto the effort of deportation and accuses those who enforce the law of being Nazis or wishing ill-will on people.

    4. The Left decries any condition existing at any detention center or prison as inhumane without any appreciation for the fact that prisons and detention centers are not intended to be comfortable - simple reality. The Left further exaggerates such conditions to be on the level of "concentration camps" for emotional (not logical or rational) effect.

There is no secret to this "debate." The Left wants/needs the millions of "immigrants" to remain in this country in order to skew populations and apportionment of congressional seats. The Left will raise any complaint against any effort to effect the actual laws regarding immigration status and deportation. None of the Left's so-called "victims" of Trump et al. would be in this situation had they not been encouraged to enter this country illegally. But, we are supposed to gloss over that fact - and the fact that the Left knew that there would be massive confusion, disruption, and unfortunate outcomes for many illegal immigrants. However, the Left didn't care about them then and currently/actively invites the chaos.

No doubt he was encouraged by Joe Biden to enter the country 60 years ago!

Yes, it really takes the eye off the not-dead people being snatched off the street by masked government thugs and thrown in cages to be trafficked who knows where, those non-tragic and non-contemptible practices.

I hope that is the case. So far, the Trump administration has been fairly unbothered by not doing so. We will see.

False. Largely, the people that entered the country did so through a legal method, the request for asylum. That is how they remained in the country.

And, also, there will be bad faith, just as in any aspect of life from the beginning of time. People will cut corners to make their goal happen. Those "cut corners" when addressing immigration issues harm people.

"Any singular or multiple instance of error" works off the notion that this was done in good faith. Unfortunately, it was not. The fact is that far more people without criminal convictions for anything were sent to CECOT than people with criminal convictions for anything. At some point, the bad faith becomes obvious and hiding from it becomes an exercise in willful blindness.

CECOT isn't "any detention center." It was designed to be inhumane. Same as "concentration camps." Sending people there with no criminal conviction is designed to be purposefully inhumane as well.

Nope. I want them to remain in the country because immigration is a good thing. People like to brag about migration to Florida and then want to cut off migration to the US as if one form of migration is a good thing and the other is bad. I want markets to decide who gets to live here more than a centrally-planned, bureaucratic, big government system.

A plurality of the people in that prison in CECOT entered legally. They maintained their legal status at the time of their detention.

Fair point. I believe that the administration is still refusing to officially confirm the identities of those sent to CECOT. Locking people up without acknowledging who they are was also a common theme of things in authoritarian countries like Concentration Camps or Gulags. Also, it is officially a crime against humanity.
