    Castleton easily.

I don't think the question was career achievement, so I can't rate Hayes higher based on 4 years vs 1 year. Castleton is the superior player. Blackshear was nice but, Castleton's rim protection and swagger put him ahead of Kerry for me.

Kerry came in grossly overrated and lived down to it.

Timing is everything in life...if Chris Walker was a high school senior now he probably would have made a nice amount of money and never would have been ruled ineligible for the first dozen games of his freshman year due to receiving improper benefits. Some guys really paid a price due to the old rules.

He was not a great 2-guard for UF.

Anyone who was grossly disappointed - simply wasn’t paying attention. He very nearly replicated the statistical output of his previous season... one that was a career best at va-tech.

Watched every minute he played during the season. Just my opinion.

    Ok.
My point is - there wasn’t any basis to expect significantly more. As I said... he nearly matched his career best season. I think the team under-performed, but Kerry was very solid.

Castleton last year because his game was good on both ends of the court and the line - and hopefully this year. Hayes is a solid player like Big John.

Colin had a good year, but he needs to do a much better job of moving the ball. He averaged about the same amount of points as Joakim Noah in the same amount of minutes. However, the ball rarely stayed in Noah’s (or Horford’s) hands for more than a few seconds. That helped make all 5 players excellent scorers.

It really doesn’t matter how he compares to players from 15 years ago who played in a different type of system. What does he bring in 2021, and how does he compare to players in similar roles in the SEC?

It’s today, not 15 years ago. He needs to pass the ball to open teammates when the defense collapses on him. It’s a team game.

I agree, though late in the year he seemed to be making conscious effort to recognize and pass out of the double team.
He needs to do it better and quicker.

CC has only had one year as the starter and had limited play as a backup if I recall correctly. Hoping for good things out of him this season after receiving feedback from the pros.

Macklin comes to mind for me. Though I don’t know if he was here only 5 years ago.

He wasn’t a super skilled offensive player perhaps, but he was a really good defender. Plus minus isn’t necessarily reliable for college players, but some +/- stats showed a crazy defensive swing for Florida when he was on the floor. I feel the Gators would have had a much better game against USC in the elite 8 if he were available.

That Elite Eight team was much better when Macklin was on the floor. He's a guy that got better each year. He was never a big scoring threat but he was good enough to keep defenders honest. As a senior, he'd developed a nice little hook shot that was reliable.

How deep will we be at the 4/5 spots, now that the roster appears to be filled?
