Week 1 matchups looking very vanilla
I wish this season wouldn’t count against anyone’s eligibility, whether they sit out or not.
How many forfeits do you think the SEC will allow this season? What happens if Georgia is one game up on UF heading into the final game of the year, against Florida, and they forfeit the game for Covid reasons and claim the SEC easr crown?
Umm.......is this the OFFICIAL Game Thread?
To everyone bitching and moaning........
I think it's a great question, and I know that when some MLB teams got some cases they postponed the affected games.
But CFB rosters are much larger, and the schedule much tighter, so I wonder if everyone will simply play on. (Quarantining the positive cases, of course.)
Hearing KT, Grimes, Copeland and Zach Carter opting out
ONLY for the first practice:
Mullen: Some UF players opted out of first practice
Will make the season interesting if different guys are out sick or quarantined week to week. Depth will be a huge factor. If course, if your entire offensive line group is quarantined, things could get real interesting.
I’m hearing that if your OL goes down they remove the DL and go to a 3 missisippi (jk) count.
Flag football anyone?
Just like 1989 (Emmitt's last season at UF) which was an opening season game loss.
Hopefully, this one will go better for the Gators!

Florida has a chance to tie up the series against Mississippi.
That's biased. You should be forced to recite all of the SEC schools.
This schedule could be similar to the ones in the 1950s where Florida also played a 10 game schedule (with no FSU yet until 1958). UF had plenty of tough competition in addition to the SEC schedule (i.e., Georgia Tech, Tulane, etc.): i.e, Clemson, UCLA, Miami, etc.

I think freshmen if needed, should be allowed to play more than four games and still redshirt.
If you think about it, 4 of 10 games is a larger percentage than 4 of 12. At least that is what my math education tells me.
I agree. This is feeling like an asterisk season all around. I hate to waste Kyle's senior season on this schedule of land mines on and off the field.
UF opens as an 8 point favorite over Ole Miss
Tennessee is our last game of the year. UF/UGA pushed back a week
