I've been a fins fan since I was a kid. Grew up watching Marino. I know exactly what the fanbase is like. Only thing more delusional is the ownership. but hey, only undefeated team.....

Haven't followed the Fins closely, but I think it's been downhill for them ever since Finkle missed that field goal.

Incorrect. Marino is rescued and presumably wins the Super Bowl at the end of that movie.

They only got a 4th round pick? If they just flat let him go they would have most likely picked up a 3rd round compensatory pick, though I suppose there's not much difference between the last pick of the 3rd round and where the Browns usually pick at the top of the 4th.

I officially checked out on the Dolphins, and the NFL, after Marino retired. Really unfortunate that he never got that Super Bowl ring.

And I became a fan as a kid when the team started out in 1966. Remember "The Longest Game" field goal kicking battle between Garo Yepremian and Jan Stenerud. 17-0-0 was my sophomore year at UF. Great memories. The NFL was never again important to me after Marino's last season.

I was a Bucs fan as a kid. Grew up in Tampa Bay area and dad is to this day a die hard Bucs fan. I still love them, but my dad got several tickets over the years to the Orange Bowl. As a 10 year old kid, I got hooked on Marino in his second season (I was at the Cowboy MNF game that season, and the historic Bears game the following season) I was hooked.

I still love the Fins, but Marino was the reason, and I find the distance between my allegiance between them and the Bucs to be shrinking. All of my other teams are Tampa/Geographically based (Lightning/Rays/Magic)

Are there any good players left on the Dolphins roster?

The early 1970's Super Bowl years were my high school years. Wonderful time. Hopefully, they will spend the cap money they are freeing up wisely, but the track record suggests otherwise.
