I thought he became a utility infielder for the Braves.

The Saints’ Taysom Hill showed how it can be done. Especially if you are on a team with a quality starting QB, and a coach who is not afraid to think outside the box.

How many of you remember Spurrier being the Punter for the 49ers?

He was pretty damn good at it.

Sean Payton offered Tebow the same role that Taysom Hill has been playing and Tim turned him down. If Tim accepted the offer he could still be playing in the NFL.
Sean Payton wanted Tebow with the Saints, before Hill

Interesting, I would maintain that Tebow does not nearly match the speed of Hill and is not really in the same mold. Hill is as fast as a WR
(running a 4.4 40) and is a matchup nightmare if a LB lines up on him. For all we knew Tebow had hands of stone anyway. Some guys end up great at different positions, but you can’t just assume it. Tebow was more like a bruising tailback or fullback. He could have probably been a great old school fullback if coached up.

A shame he didn’t get more opportunity to continue in a spot where he could run it 10-15 a game as a dual threat QB. We’ll never know if his passing ability could have evolved to work longer term in a system catering to him, all we know is it was pretty terrible in a limited sample (but that he was able to lead Denver to some W’s regardless).

Regarding FF, it tells you all you need to know that he is learning more about the entire offense at TE. He is not a QB.
As for Tebow, the man followed his dreams not efficiency
I think he will be okay.

Didn’t play at quarterback last night.
Had one reception for 5 yards.

Tebow would have been fine. We have to remember who his coach was… John Fox, who is terrible offensively. Shame what happened to Tebow, because despite a terrible head coach and struggles with completion percentage there is no other young QB that never starts again after leading his team to a division title and playoff win.

The 2010s Gators: We Get QBs to the NFL (as TEs, possibly after transfer)

    Franks
    Driskel
    Reed
    Burton

Some frustrating ones in that list but Burton wasn't it. Loved that guy. Underutilized here, which is amazing given his zeal for playing and being a Gator.

Particularly 2013, where Driskel got hurt and ... Skyler Mornhinweg was somehow our QB for a bit.

My mind has completely erased much of that, though.

When Emory Jones is a TE for the Falcons in 2024 I'm going to be convince it was a literal voodoo curse.

The more I think about 2019 and 2020 I’m thinking more and more that the Trask offense was Johnson’s, not Mullen’s.

Mullen never had plays like that before or after Trask. Even with Leak, Mullen didn’t really know what to do with him.

Never thought Franks could make it as an NFL Quarterback, but smart enough to see that his physical size and athletic ability could get him a career as a utility guy. Tebow should have done the same. He might have redefined the so called "H Back" position.

    Tebow is doing just fine.

He’s currently worth over 100 million dollars and does more than most for charities because he actually believes he should.

Also, he will be able bodied his whole life.

Tim Tebow Net Worth $71 Million (Forbes 2022) ESPN Salary Cars House

His current house below and he has some 2 million car and a million dollar Bentley. Hot wife, and ESPN just offered him several more years of 7 million dollars a year to call and analyze games. I think his trend is fine.

Like you said he's doing just fine but imagine how much more he'd be worth if he had been able to cash in on NIL
