Feb. 7th - National Signing Day

Used to be a case of M80s, now just a pocket full of bang snaps.

 

NSD has all but been surpassed in importance by ESD. Hardly any highly rated kids still avail. Now about 85/90% of the HS Bluechip kids sign by ESD.

 

Rosters are pretty much set for spring practice and they already know what they’re working with.

 

Until the portal opens up again that is.

 

Won't be signing anyone as no one worthy is available

Do Grimsley and all the transfers formally make the jump from "committed" to "signed" tomorrow? How does that work?

 

I don’t think those guys become official until they enroll in the summer.

 

After tomorrow they’re 100% committed

 

Transfers don’t sign loi’s, just enroll. Pretty sure some of them are already on campus.

I think most of them did, but 247 doesn’t update them the same way they do hs recruits.

 

I think there are only 2 uncommitted 4 stars and neither of them are in the top 200. The cupboard is bare.

 

Saving any additional spots for new portal additions that arise after spring. That's where you'll find talent after ESD bc it won't be on NSD.

They should rename today (the former original signing day) the supplemental signing day, and change the early signing day to THE SIGNING DAY.

 

A different schedule now for sure. It's nice to have everything sewn up and so many early enrollees. A tight ship is being run.
