Well, since it is an MRNA vaccine it makes sense I'd bring it up as having helped us out of a pandemic. . It saved hundreds of thousands of lives. I wouldn't say that was a failure. My doctor told me to bypass it this year but to get the flu shot. The strains have lessened to the point that if you're not compromised, you're ok to not take a booster.
The WHO (not the band) meets each year to agree on what strains of flu etc are out there, and supplies a report. Since we now withdrew from WHO, we won't be informed of what strains to look out for. Another "win" for us I guess.

The developers of yearly flu strains aren’t waiting for the WHO to tell them what to focus on.
The US belonging to the WHO may have negative impacts but not getting the most likely Influenza strains each year isn’t one of them. Mind you those predictions aren’t always accurate.
