Part of my selection of a favorite team is based on personal recollection, which can get a little sketchy after sixty years. Nostalgia plays a part, as does the level of my elation in the moment. Just to be a weirdo, I'm going to pick the perfect regular season record of 12-0 in '95. And in order to extol the strengths that team demonstrated before the awful finale, I will ignore the NC game as an outlier. IMO, the '95 O was absolutely phenomenal. The D had some talent, and we all know what Stoops came on and did in '96. The stats were eyepopping, the joint was jumping, and the HBC was too cool to fool. Those were the days.
06.... I became a Gator fan as a teenager around 91... so I was spoiled throughout the Spurrier era. That 06 team was so mentally tough... they increased my heart rate all year long... but that chip was worth it
