Nova had our number the year before...it was sweet revenge to absolutely dominate them in that game.

Always have pulled for Jay Wright and Nova, though.

Totally agree. That shot changed everything and we practically rolled to back to back National Championships after that. I don't think the Gators had another really close game in those 2 years. No other NCAA tournament game after that did I feel we were going to lose. Hibbert and Green played lights out in that sweet 16 game.

2006-07 Ohio State regular season game is up there for me. What a freaking beating.

2005 Kentucky home game breaking the streak is up there.

Both of the Virginia blow outs were amazing in the tournament.

1978 vs LSU in the Alley. No Rowdies, just the entire west bleaches, very close and frequently worse than rude. Last second game winner by Ric Clarson after a jump ball that completed an improbable 10 point comeback with a minute to go - with no 3-point shot. THAT was a game.

I really miss jump balls. The game lost a lot.

1993 win over Vandy. Stacey Poole hits game winner at the buzzer.
It was the first game I attended, and marked the transformation of Iona fan to Gators fan.

I listened to that in Chicago in my car, in the garage, in sub 20 degree temp on a KY radio station. Not sure my garage door was open or closed. Happy to be here today.

Happy for the win, especially against Fogler, but I had a good angle from behind. I think he walked. Stopped, took a step to the the left, then shot

I am with you on some of the those.

    game I attended:

the 90 game vs LSU. We were on like a 14 game losing streak. Not only did they have shaq and Stanley Roberts but how could you leave off a Chris Jackson (later Mahmoud Abdul rauf). I also recorded that game since vitale was in town and lsu was ranked like 15. Glad I did cuz vitale was in his prime back then and it was a great broadcast. Can no longer find the tape - bummer. Though I don’t have a vcr anyway.

    game I didn’t attend:

the 2000 butler game. It was also st Patrick’s day. So I left work early for several pitchers of beer and the UF game. Awesome time.

yeah I went to every game that year and during that long losing streak, outside of the UK the o dome crowds were sparse and we had great seats for most games. We showed up for LSU and had to sit in the 2nd level with the fans showing up to see LSU...not the gators. Lol. I’m jealous you got to hang with Vitale back then. Lol man did the fans hate don devoe that year.

You beat me to this one...Florida beating UK 69-57 in 1984. I was a senior in high school and my buddy and I went to the game. I can't say we were expecting a win as we had only beaten UK once in the previous eight years, but we were pumped. The Dome was rocking and the crowd was crazy and we dominated from the tip, pounding one of the most talented UK teams ever that featured three top-6 draft picks (the "Twin Towers" Sam Bowie and Melvin Turpin plus Kenny "Sky" Walker). UK would finish 29-5, win the SEC, the SECT and reach the Elite Eight but Ronnie Williams and Eugene McDowell took it to the towers with help from a freshman Drew Moten. The O'Dome went flat nuts for two and a half hours.

It was tough to find much video of the 1994 games, but I did find some 2nd Round and Sweet 16 clips. The Sweet 16 game vs UConn is my choice.

    2nd Rd vs Penn (7:54)
    Sweet 16 vs UConn (1:46:55)
(UConn was loaded with future NBA guys, amazing)

I was able to find two 87 NCAA Tourney games and the Penn one from 94. The UCONN one outside of that clip you had is impossible find. I'd hope the UAA in the future makes an effort to recover these games and get them up for fans to view.

2000. Beating Carolina in the Final Four. I have always been able to hold that over their heads up here.

    In no particular order:
First undefeated SEC schedule win vs UK was sweet.

Beating UNC in NCAA seemed unthinkable even 10 years before that.

Every game Lee Humps ever played where he just broke the will of the other team with deep threes. Not necessarily in volume, but he seemed to hit them at such clutch times. A steely eyed Three point man!

I was at that game! Unreal comeback, in an era with no shot clock.

Hump seemed to always start the game a bit cold. Would miss his first three or four shots. Then, late in the first half and early in the second he would just start scorching the nets.
