Heard Miami offered day after the incident.
I disagree. A whole team should not be punished for his actions. I could see if it was multiple players or a coach but there is no reason to disqualify a team for one player. It wasn't like he was playing as an ineligible player. They earned the right to be there.
Player should be banned for life, perhaps the coach suspended, but the team shouldn’t have been kicked out of the playoffs.
Looks like the young man could use some
Really? You are going to blame those around him for not containing him? I think that's a bit much.
Booting the team from the playoffs is harsh but is it any different then a team getting a 15 year penalty for one guys personal foul? besides this guy had done stuff like this before and they kept him around.
His uniform should be an orange jump suit
Exactly why the team was booted. The school, the coaching staff and his teammates knew the kid had history for this and they still let him play. But they wanted him on the field anyway because he was their star athlete, so the they owned it and should suffer the consequences as a team.
It's perfectly legal for NFL referees to fix games as long as they're acting on the orders of the league and not influences outside of it. It's been established in court that the NFL is sports entertainment like WWE and that the fans are not entitled to a fair outcome. It's a show they're putting on and they can do whatever they want with it. Roger Goodell has it in for Sean Payton and will never let the Saints get to another Super Bowl as long as Payton is there.
Digging around he doesn't show up on 247 or Rivals recruiting. Listed on Max Prep but no offers.
So he is listed as a Senior and has zero offers. This was his last game and will probably leave him with a record.
Considering that the article uses his name he must be 18. Most won't print the name of a minor.
Yeah refs will miss calls. They're just people like you and me, guy. If you really think there's very widespread incidents of 55 year old men with families and real professional level jobs out there throwing games then you might need to get back in touch with reality a bit.
And if you further think committing clear assault is the correct reaction that confirms my suspicion and you're likely not worth engaging further in conversation.
Not so much blame, just said I was surprised.
A person's character is tested more during times of stress, then when things are going well.
Get thrown out of a football game.
What is your reaction?
Suck it up.....and take it like a man?
Or run out on the field and assault a helpless individual?
What would you have your son do?
This incident reflects badly on this young man's parents, unfortunately, and his upbringing.
They did. Kirby was putting an assistant on a plane to go offer him but Miami beat him to the punch.
Osborne in the 90’s mirrored what Bowden had started in the 80’s. At one time, and for most of their careers they were both honorable men. But both sold their souls to the devil to win.
Parents and coaches. I’m pretty sure his coaches need more than their fingers and toes to count the warning signs and prior incidents.
Roger Goodell is the worst thing to happen to the NFL since, well come to think of it, nothing else can really compare to him.
His parent(s) should be ashamed of their son and themselves.
My guess is they are probably not involved in his life. Reports he’s done this before, in a soccer game of all sports, is a good reason for the entire team to got booted from playoffs. They knew he was like this, and yet he’s their star fb player. School Admins and coaches should be ashamed of themselves. If you all had problems with FSU and LSU burying their heads in the sand at players transgression, this should bother you too.
He'll be in jail one day and we'll be paying for his worthless life.
