I just received a few (50) DVD’s of family home movies. What is the easiest way to turn them into mp4’s? I can get them done locally for $5 @. Ultimately want to edit out unwanted video. Any suggestions? I’m a real novice with a/v. Thanks.
Have you looked at the files on the DVDs? They might already be in MP4. If not, there are a number of software packages that can do the trick. This page describes how to do the ripping with various packages. If you are afflicted with Windows the Video Editor is a good tool to extract or trim the videos once they are on your PC.
