Barring a sudden change, I expect him to be UF bound and likely public to UF in the next few days. Staff killed the visit.

I’m not sure if you’ve heard the same, and I have no idea on what grounds... but I’ve had a couple people say he may seek a waiver.

If he is as good as he looks on film, this would be a great get. Love this kids game.

Haven't heard but haven't asked. TBH we need him more in 20-21 than 19-20

Is this the La Tech kid? A good get, which leaves us w/ 1 scholly left. All quiet on the grad transfer front to this point. Aka, are you still feeling the super warm fuzzies about us landing an impact GT for next season? toddrl, any GT's on the radar?

Yeah. I still very much think we have full intention to land an impact GT with the remaining spot(s).

There is a separate thread on him a few pages back. Do a search for his name. It has video. Super athletic kid.

I know those are the intentions. It's a must. But you seemed to imply some inside info last month that we might be frontrunners for some mystery candidate. Or perhaps it was just wishful thinking?

Yeah- I had heard we were a very strong potential destination for a very good, possible GT.
And I’m wishing that turns out accurate.

So .., it was a bit of both! :)

Sounds like the VT kid. Hope it comes to fruition.

46.5 inch vertical jump is top level.

Seriously? That's pretty much off the charts. Like... would be one of the all time top verticals in the history of the NBA. Mike White loves him some players with hops.

46.5 inch vertical jump? My vertical jump can be measured with a spark plug gapper. Are we sure this kid is human?

There is a video on social media with him doing it - though he takes a running start. Don't we usually measure these things as a 'standing vertical leap'? (serious question, i don't know) Either way...he's on a springboard...just might not be an all-timer in terms of leaping ability.

    Why not both ?!
Excited about our potential going forward - but I still think the “help us immediately” 4/5 is a must.
If he gets waiver , does he fit that bill, or not enough of an inside presence?

46.5 is running start, not a true vertical but still damn impressive. His standing is closer to 40-41 so he's still a high flyer for sure
