Yes, I'm sure they are all on the Soros payroll and are radical leftist pedophile communists who hate America. Did I leave anything out? Dislike and bacon all you want, it has happened before where maga aficionados resort to making threats, it it likely to happen here too as the names of the jurors come out. It is a form of political intimidation and it is not ok.

Seriously, this kind of stuff kills people. A relentless recipe of this stuff is why millions of Americans are “certain” that they are the victims of a powerful Democratic criminal cabal getting away with rampant criminality while honest patriots like Mike Flynn are unjustly persecuted. They are bombarded. Anyone might lapse into that lunacy if they were subjected to that stuff all the time

I'm sorry but I've already dealt with enough posters on this topic that don't know what they are talking about and don't feel the need to engage with another one. These are things I've discussed previously on these threads.

I think you're right. If you get a constant diet of that kind of stuff (and you're the kind of person who watch and read a steady diet of that kind of stuff) you would end up believing that everything that doesn't go your way is crooked. If Trump loses an election, it was stolen. If Sussman isn't convicted, the trial was rigged.
Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates, George Soros ... they're controlling everything. And it's up to good, patriotic Americans to put an end to that.

For sure, but how do they square the circle when Trump says republicans cheated Perdue in favor of Kemp? Jewish space lasers?

Everything I posted is factual and public knowledge. The point, of course, is Trump brought this down on himself. Not Sussman. Not Clinton. Not Steele. Not Comey. Not Mueller. Or any other bogeyman you try to pin this on.

I've listened to a lot of coverage about this on the right and have been very disappointed in the most of it. Most are leaving out the biggest misstep Durham's team made and how big of an impact that had on this trial (Baker text message) and have focused on the fact the judge allowed three people that donated to Clinton to be in the jury pool. I don't think the jury pool would have made that much of a difference if Durham's team had gotten their hands on Baker's text this time last year.

If that is the case, why did the FBI need the Steele Dossier to go to FISC for a FISA warrant on Carter Page?

Don't forget the recent BS from Trump that GOP primaries in Georgia (because Kemp and Raffensburger won) and Pennsylvania (because Oz is in a dead heat) were rigged. The lunacy continues.

I think my point must have been unclear. This thread is about people still up in arms over Hillary Clinton, a now washed up politician who hasn't been politically relevant for 6 years.

So it's a bit ridiculous that the same individuals piling on in this thread are often the ones rolling their eyes when new Trump threads are created.

    Timeline . . . .

July 25, 2016 - FBI announces investigation of DNC hacks.

Late July, 2016 - FBI opens investigation of Russia's role in the election based on Papadopoulos' contacts with the Russians.

Sept 26, 2016 - Carter Page leaves Trump campaign.

Oct 21, 2016 - FBI seeks and recieves FISA warrants for Carter Page.

The FISA warrants on Page were issued 3 months after the FBI began investigating Russia's role in the election due to Papadopoulos and 1 month after Page left the Trump campaign.

The definitive Trump-Russia timeline of events

You did not answer the question, why did the FBI need the Steele Dossier to justify going to the FISC if there was plenty of evidence for the FBI already? This is why it is not worth discussing this with you. You have a wave top level of understanding when it comes to what is actually going on here and I just don't feel it is worth retyping a bunch of posts.

I agree. It's not worth rehashing all this. The point remains the same. The Trump campaign gave the Feds plenty of legitimate reasons to investigate the DNC hacks, Russia's involvement and the Trump campaign's coordination with the Russians. They didn't need the Steele dossier. Just review the timeline I provided for dozens of contacts between the Russians, WikiLeaks, Papadopoulos, Sessions, Page, Stone, Manafort, Don Jr, and Kushner!

For those interested in facts instead of defensive political spin, here's the OIG's report on the matter.

"Review of Four FISA Applications and Other Aspects of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane Investigation"

    https://www.justice.gov/storage/120919-examination.pdf

The FBI would have unlikely gotten the FISA warrant on Page, and Page alone, without the Steele dossier as positioned.

The Page investigation was just one part of the multifaceted investigation. Errors, political or otherwise, in the application does not invalidate the investigation as a whole. People who use it as a trump card are spewing some weak ass sauce and should be deemed untrustworthy.

    From the report:

"Additionally, given the low threshold for predication in the AG Guidelines and the DIOG, we concluded that the FFG information, provided by a government the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) deems trustworthy, and describing a first-hand account from an FFG employee of a conversation with Papadopoulos, was sufficient to predicate the investigation. This information provided the FBI with an articulable factual basis that, if true, reasonably indicated activity constituting either a federal crime or a threat to national security, or both, may have occurred or may be occurring. For similar reasons, as we detail in Chapter Three, we concluded that the quantum of information articulated by the FBI to open the individual investigations on Papadopoulos, Page, Flynn, and Manafort in August 2016 was sufficient to satisfy the low threshold established by the Department and the FBI."

"We did not find information in FBI or Department ECs, emails, or other documents, or through witness testimony, indicating that any information other than the FFG information was relied upon to predicate the opening of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Although not mentioned in the EC, at the time, FBI officials involved in opening the investigation had reason to believe t hat Russia may have been connected to the Wikileaks disclosures that occurred earlier in July 2016, and were aware of information regarding Russia's efforts to interfere with the 2016 U.S. elections. These officials, though, did not become aware of Steele's election reporting until weeks later and we therefore determined that Steele's reports played no role in the Crossfire Hurricane opening."

Steele had a history with the FBI. And, Page did go to Russia and gave his speech there. The problem is that an FBI lawyer lied on connection with that warrant. And the unanswered question now is: why and how was that warrant renewed when, apparently, nothing of value was learned over the several renewals? A lot of time has gone by and we still don’t know that answer. And, some of the content in the Steele memos proved true. Some was garbage. Page was out of the campaign when he was wiretapped.

The point for bringing up Page was to show that particular posters does not really understand what is going on with this. So far two out of the four main reasons the FBI had started an investigation into the Trump campaign have turned out to be Clinton Campaign Oppo that was turned into the FBI. Still waiting on the other two.

The FBI never checked any of the information in the Dossier with the rest of the IC, which is the first thing that they should have done. If they had, they would have known Page had a history of working with the CIA against Russia. Seeing as the FBI leadership decided to keep the source of the Alfa Bank information close hold and not say where it came from, I wonder if they might have done the same thing here.

The best way to describe the Steele Dossier is that it had info in it that were based on publicly available information and the non-publicly available information that was the most explosive allegations that turned out to be BS. The blending of the two may have been what sold the FBI on it.
