The funny thing is these are items out of the grocery store that really haven’t had much inflation. Fresh Produce of all things have had the least and he’s trying to act like there is sticker shock on a bag of carrots (which are $1.49/lb at Whole Foods btw). Guy just shows he doesn’t know.

It’s actually more noticeable on packaged goods and junk foods, some of which seem out of whack (inflation). Anyone that eats a junk food diet might think there’s like 50% inflation. Raw meats are sort of up and down, I’d call that more modest inflation. If you pay attention you can probably notice, but it isn’t anything crazy. Veggies have barely budged.

His opponent has done an amazing job of Trolling him on social media for being a "Pennsylvanian tourist" ... he's either a funny guy, or has an insult comic running his twitter.

Yeah, he had a tik-Tom video where Snooky from Jersey Shore brags on DR Oz and says all of NJ was behind him.

It should be noted also that he combined the name of two very common grocery chains in Pennsylvania. In Pennsylvania, they have Redner's and Wegmans, not "Wegners." Fetterman's people should credit him though for not calling it ShopRite.

I do like him. He had a good interview one time on CBS Sunday Morning.

This is definitely the first time he's been inside a grocery store in at least 20 years

Oz is a complete and total scumbag snake oil salesman. It's even worse because as a medical doctor he knows better.

There are some funny responses posted under the video…..

“Crudités. I have a pretty expansive vocabulary, and I had to look it up. It's a French word for a vegetable tray. But it's too common to say vegetable tray, so crudités.”

“Issues with Oz's 'Everyday Guy' Ad:
    1. He doesn't know the correct name of the store
    2. He uses the word 'crudités'
    3. He can't properly read the prices
    4. He doesn't know what to get and in what quantities (the servants normally shop)
    5. It's a crudité platter with raw asparagus”

“okay we have an answer, he mashed Wegmans with Redners and made it “Wedners”

“…. . broccoli is sold by the pound so he just made up that price.”

In a former life Oz was actually a well respected cardiac-thoracic surgeon. Then he realized that he could earn even more as a television personality and snake oil salesman.

It seems kinda creepy. But making fun of this seems a bit like Fox, Obama and arugula.

Yeah I was amazed when I read how seriously respected he was as a surgeon. He was not a hack as a surgeon. Far from it. Just really sad that he has resorted to this.

And of course, you have to question his loyalty to the United States given that he does not want to give up his Turkish citizenship, and Erdogan's already been trying to influence US policy through elicit means, and Gulen is somewhere in Pennsylvania supposedly

I lived in PA for a decade. What a moron. Go to Giant Eagle for better prices like most of the state. No one calls it that crudite word or whatever.

    • Asparagus is usually $3 a pound
    • Broccoli $1.50 a pound
    • Carrots $1 a pound
    • Avocados are expensive so guac is too, skip it.
    • Fresh salsa is $3.50 per pound

Ideas for more resourceful internet trolls than I:

    1. Set up a go fund me page for his wife to buy lots of crudités veggies and send them to their house, their campaign, work, and anywhere else along those lines

    2. Set a new website for Wegners and offer exclusively discounted veggie trays with an endorsement fromDr Os.
