Despite the way the Gators and Franks ended the season on offense, Franks is not getting the respect he deserves. Miami fans think their defense will shut down the Gator offense I think they are wrong and Franks has turned the corner on offense. Our WR and Perine are the strength of the team. Hopefully defense has enough bodies to be successful

Their D ain't chit compared to Mich last year and they didn't stop us. Granted we have a new OL but they ain't going to stop us anyway. We might not score 34 but they won't "shut us down". And re our D, we have plenty of bodies to shut them down. And probably most everyone we play.

I looked at the box score and our run numbers were just awful. Nowhere to go but up. Pierce's numbers were really bad. Poor dude, lots of potential but just needs a little space.

Unfortunately the way Franks played looks like scUM fans were correct. If it turns out to be Franks' one and only terrible game we could have a pretty good season. I think our schedule is tough and naturally DCs will be coaching their DLs to really push hard on our new OL. Way down the road but LSU on the road seems daunting.

The good news is that we are 1-0 and have two (really three with UT-Martin) weeks to get better. I look at this game as a tune-up that wasn't a cupcake.

Personally i thought Franks played fine. Couldn't been better though. Give Miami D credit, they came to play. Only 53 plays for us

I think my frustration with Franks is that it felt like he is still just throwing to the initial read. He goes to the line reads the defense and throws it directly to that no matter what it looks like after the snap.

He went through progressions. Not enough to call it a big leap imo.

Pierce? I saw on ESPN box score M Davis had 3 carries for -9 yds and a fumble.

Why only 53, slow to regroup and organize or too many 3 and outs and TOs?

I think if you look again Pierce had like 3 yards on 3 plays. Something like that.

Yea the TO's killed us more than anything imo and it felt like we just went into a lull offensively in the middle of the game.

Anyways, come to the Swamp Donell Harris!!!

Even more troubling when you realize we only gave up 1 or 2 sacks to take away from those rushing yards. Its one thing to gain 120 yards but lose 50 yards to sacks, a net 70. Its not like we gave up 10 sacks or something.

Too many drive killers. Would have had 6 on a slant route to Grimes on the 1st fumble deep in our redzone. If you watch the tape you see that's why Frank's pulled back the handoff on the read option. Little thing like that are the reason miami was able to keep it close

With that being said not many teams can turn the ball over 4 times and still come out with the W

I think in power 5 battles last year teams -3 in turnover ratio were 5-35.

Yep. But that's better than -9 on 3 carries if my math is right so why single out Pierce instead of Davis, who also fumbled.

Not singling anyone as much as saying our run game was very poor. And yes, I knew Malik was -9 but it doesn't change anything.
