Donald Trump Sinks to a New Low

Weird, so there's little to no importance on honest communication from ..... the President of the United States.

Changing the subject from what he's actually doing is acceptable to some. Sad.

 

He claimed it was a joke and that Catholics loved it. Finally, I assume someone convinced him how bad it was, he claims he had nothing to do with it.

 

I know quite a few Roman Catholics and none of them were offended by the pic- they knew it was a joke- but the left and the left media went all batchit crazy

 

The priest at my church last Sunday found no humor in Trump’s antics and hinted as much during the homily. This has little to do with “the left”, but with the lack of awareness from POTUS days after the funeral. This is still a time of mourning for the Church during the Easter season, which is the most joyous time of the church calendar. As a practicing Catholic, it’s insulting. And as some have mentioned, would the president act so disrespectfully if this was an Islamic holy leader? Probably not. Maybe it was meant to be a political jab at Biden, but the lack of respect and awareness are striking. Hope that explains why some are offended by this.

 

Lots of Catholic leaders in the US and abroad have expressed their distaste for it. Ridiculous to claim it's just the left or the media.

Probably because they take the commandments to treat one's neighbor as one's self, to welcome the stranger and to feed the hungry among others seriously. They're also overwhelmingly pro-life on the issue of abortion. The one issue on which American Roman Catholics diverge from the official Church doctrine is the use of artificial birth control with a majority of American Catholics using BC.

Man, can you imagine your emotions if there was a Democrat posting pictures of himself as pope while stating that he didn't know if he needs to uphold the constitution and talking about how your kids should have less toys? First of all- from what I have read and also seen said is the picture was generated by AI. I would not care if a dem posted the same picture. You libs get all up in arms with everything Trump does. That this caused so much consternation makes me laugh

All that means is that somebody asked for AI to do that and then the White House and Trump himself thought that was a good thing to send out.

I'd be willing to bet that you complained about Obama's tan suit. So yeah, not buying the rest of this.
