Does Dr Oz not want to win?

Well… back to the title. Does he want to win?

 

Technically smokers aren’t a “protected class” so id think a company could already choose to not hire someone who smoked. Like if someone came in reeking of cigarettes I can imagine some positions where that would warrant being sent home (like a restaurant server or hospital environment).

Still, dumb to suggest we need a big guv “law” for this and also probably dumb politics because I would assume MAGA quite likely has a higher propensity of smokers than his opponent. So he’s suggesting putting 15% of his base out of work. Brilliant.

 

It literally says that in the quote. Oh wait, it says the person was wearing a mask. My bad.

 

He’s a doctor. Wants people to be healthy

 

I have no quibbles with anti-smoking campaigns. I just wonder out loud about the wisdom of campaigning “smokers shouldn’t be able to find jobs”.

 

Why wouldn’t they be able to find jobs? It they want a job, quit smoking

 

Awesome. Campaign on that Oz. I think it only has downside on votes.

 

That is his statement. Doesn’t make it true though.

 

Especially when your natural constituency has a higher percentage of smokers than the electorate as a whole.

I have absolutely no idea as to whether this guy is a resident of Pennsylvania but I would guess that he is not atypical of the type voter that Dr. Oz is seeking to attract.

 

You're declaring this because nine years ago, he pointed a gun at someone who he thought had been involved in a shooting? Is that it, or have I missed something?

 

So he chases down a black person because he “thought” he heard gun shots with a shot gun? Yeah, sounds like a great guy. Let’s elect him!

So new audio of Oz is out where he says it's ok to bang your 2nd cousin and daughters won't have sex with their Dads because they dislike their smell.
