Yes, coming from me. I'm not partisan like you are. It's ok. You support a racist. No big deal. Own it.

Good for you. Own your support of a racist. I'll just point it out everytime you chime in on a race thread.

Fetterman's campaigned painted Oz as an out-of-touch rich guy who actually lives in New Jersey. And it has stuck.

Don’t know the PA politics on this but he has 54% more votes from people of color than Oz. A lot of undecided in this race.

So the voters don't know his racist past? Not a total surprise at this point. I would hammer that he's not well enough to debate then he shouldn't be counted on to be in office at this point and point out is racist past. "Dr" Oz has his own issues. I'd vote for neither of these 2 idiots.

There's nothing wrong with a debate but 5 in one month is too much. They should just have one debate in Savannah for all the people to see

"“First of all, Oz has nothing else to talk about .. I’ve told him many times, I’m ready to debate him anytime, any day, I just want to make it for the fans, not about a political party or some media.”

All is fair. Fetterman should have pulled out before the primary as his stroke was before the primary. To say it is a mild stroke is an understatement. He is not physically able to function as a US senator. He is going to get hammered relentlessly and it is his own fault. Oz will win as the people of Pennsylvania are not that stupid.

Yes it does. As does this one. It's ok, just say you are ok with electing a racist.

Fetterman's past gun incident rattles Black Democrats in Pa. Senate race

“He’s not shooting straight on this, no pun intended. Just 'fess up. Apologize,” said Michael Nutter, Philadelphia’s last Black mayor, who served until 2016.

“All this other stuff — that he was the chief law enforcement officer or that he didn’t know the guy was Black — just doesn’t really sound like he wants to tell the truth,” added Nutter

“He wasn’t the chief law enforcement officer. That insults our intelligence. He was a white man with a gun chasing a Black man,” Walker-Montgomery said in an interview. “I used to be on the council in McKeesport, and if I chased after a person with a gun, I would still be in jail. He’s showing he’s not aware of his white privilege.”

Interesting articles. I guess it's a matter of perspective. I understand black leaders coming out questioning his actions, but it was only because the jogger was black. I also understand Fetterman's explanation. Unless you believe he sequestered his kids, got a gun and went running after a jogger - I take him at his word he didn't know the jogger was black - for no reasom, it's the only explanation which makes sense.

I think your accusation of racism is too strong in this case except to the extent every light skinned person on the planet has at least a smidgen of fear of dark skinned people. In some cases, it's overt and malicious. I don't think it was in this case, but perhaps it's my liberal bias at work.

BTW, I'm not sure this is correct: "He’s showing he’s not aware of his white privilege.” Status matters, unfortunately. If Fetterman had not been a politician and office holder, he may well have been arrested.

And now we have someone who might or might not recover enough to even do the job. If someone can't do a debate then they aren't fit to be a candidate.

Let's put in the incident in context. It occurred in January 2013. Have you ever been to Western Pennsylvania in January? While the person detained by Fetterman was a black jogger, he was wearing a full sweat suit with a hoodie pulled over his head, probably gloves and possible had his face partially covered to shield from the cold. According to Fetterman, and agreeing that his statement was self-serving he couldn't identify the guy as black until he detained him. Fetterman claimed that he heard gun shots and two other witnesses said the same although the sounds were more likely firecrackers there is a similarity. Also, other than that one incident and again there is a reasonable explanation, Fetterman has absolutely no history of racism.

I grew up in PA and ran all the time for Cross Country. And I never wore something covering my face so i could breathe. You are making a guess his face was covered while ignoring the fact he chased down someone who was black with a shotgun. He also had a great tattoo that said "I will make you hurt".

    Sounds like a great guy...
