and, do the Gators have enough O to keep up?
Need all cylinders firing Saturday.
I do think we have a decent chance of pulling the upset. Biggest question is how we'll perform when/if we're up. I see a lot of complacency lately whenever we develop a lead. White has to find a way to motivate them for 40 minutes instead of the minutes when we're not ahead.
We'll have to hit our open shots to have any chance since they'll have a giant advantage inside.
Maybe play from behind this game and then catch Tennessee at the end of the game. They'll never see it coming.
We need the team that played Butler in Gainesville to show up. IMO, we win or lose this game on whether or not we can generate enough offense vs Tenn
I think Stone needs a big game. Hudson would be a nice piece and I think he is coming around but I don't think he is the missing piece. Bassett needs to stay on the upswing.
The Seabiscuit strategy, not entirely a bad idea.
Tennessee favored by 1.5 points right now.
I don’t see this team beating Tenn. Love to see us beat them but not getting my hopes up.
67-66. Win or Loss?
I have to agree with 33hoop, to answer the OP - UF has the defense but not
the offense. I've watched the Vol's several times this year and I have to take my hat off to coach Barnes.
They look like the real deal to me. I don't think UF is at their level.
Now if our perimeter guys get really hot from 3 we might have a chance but outside of that, no I think we are overmatched this year.
If we shoot well, we win.
That is a HUGE "if".
Ken Pom has the Vols #4 offense while the gators are #5 defense. That’s quite the entertaining matchup.
However, Vols are #19 defense while UF is a rather dismal #83 on offense.
(Vols are a lot like Michigan State, regarding kenpom ratings).
Somewhere between the Butler win and the opening 10 minutes versus Arky!
Home team is significant in college basketball.
He had 11 against them last year. Needs another double digit game. Has disappeared in the last few games though. Not sure what to think.
This is a biggie. A lot depends on our big guys playing tough inside and staying out of foul trouble, and I think we'll need to get some minutes in both halves from Stokes.
But making shots is the key. Always is.
Shooting 80% from FT line, 45% from 3, 60% inside the line.
All about KeVaughn again. He was asleep against them last year. 29 minutes and ZERO points. Only took 3 shots.
