It's unfortunate because he seems like a really nice kid.

he still has a ways to go and he does not look healthy. No sense burning a year because he may need it to get ready for the NFL if that's in his future

He's had four games of snaps and the associated practices. He needs more than snaps. He needs proper coaching.

I vote redshirt for DJ. He might (probably) still be hurt. Throwing 3 picks into triple coverage is a mind problem....... Think he needs the time to get his mind and body sound for the future. As bad as this year has looked, last year was pretty darn good. Had a lot of compliments on his deep ball throws.... Let's see what TJ can do. I think he has a rifle for an arm. Wish DW was healthy as a receiver......We still have a lot of wide out talent (at least in my eyes). Get healthy DJ. Get your mind and body sound.
    GO GATORS!!!!

Personally I think he should redshirt but I don’t have a skin in his game. If he does, his starting again for the Gators may be in jeopardy unless Jones comes in and winds up be terrible which I don’t see. Although his only action was against a pop warner team so who knows. If Jones plays great, DJ has no choice but to transfer and he doesn’t really have a lot of good tape to put out there and 0 from this year.

IF this is due to his injury he had during the offseason practices, shame on the coaches for putting him out there too early and should be considered gross negligence.

There was always the likelihood that he needed a full year to mature and get the experience needed to reach his potential.

He has not been right and it's not all mental.

As for the boot I remember a play where he limped after. Definitely looked pained.

If true. He needs to go somewhere else then. Plenty of programs are showing you can get your QB out of the portal. If he’s injury prone then he doesn’t deserve the money he’s supposedly making. Move on from both IMO.

idk why people have to invent scenarios in their heads. Do you really think they didn't consult with the doctors and the family before putting him out there?

Even if red shirts, he still does not have the footwork and mechanics to play the next level. The next head coach will be looking for a better QB, that is about it. Wish him the best, but it’s time for a ROI.

You’re telling me you never sucked up being hurt or brushed off and said “I’m fine, I feel good” to go to work?

Does he need me to drive his Ferrari for him while he's in a boot?

... Just ridiculous. That did strike me as a big red flag when I saw that on Any Given Saturday

I don’t really trust our medical decision making. Throwing people into boots because of minor pain isn’t a thing. If he has a specific injury just come out and say it
