Discussion Thread - Baseball Super Regionals

FSU is up 6-4 top of 6 over UCONN. All 6 of their runs are from HR’s over that short RF porch (that the city wouldn’t give them a permit for to put back up the high fence) or so they say.

 

What is the turf material I see at fields l8ke FSU around home plate and sometimes even the base paths? Is it an artificial turf like 9lder football fields? It doesn't look like current artificial fields as I don't see that rubber stuff flying around. Also, I imagine it plays completely different than clay, so what are some advantages or disadvantages. It looks good but in most pro sports, the athletes usually hate playing on it.

 

2 of them homers were to center field.

 

Uconn and Evansville both just took leads within like 15 seconds of each other.

 

Evansville guys can hit. Vols gonna have to score a bunch more to advance.

Things looking good for ACC - they will likely have a record number of teams in Omaha.

 

I couldn't believe he was left in so long,it felt like 7 hits in a row then a FC that pulled the 2nd baseman off the bag and another hit before they went and got him.

 

Every winning team has scored 10+ runs today.

 

Omaha will probably be all 1-0, 2-1 games, lol

Rooting like hell for Oregon State. I want Kentucky to remain as the only SEC team never to set foot in Omaha.
